Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan dan kontribusi antara environmental awareness dengan penguasaan konsep siswa tentang lingkungan di MAN 3 Sukabumi. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap tiga kelas dengan tingkatan yang berbeda, yaitu kelas X, XI dan XII dengan jumlah sampel 109 siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik korelasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara stratified random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket environmental awareness, tes penguasaan konsep lingkungan, dan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai korelasi yang terbentuk dari environmental awareness dengan penguasaan konsep siswa tentang lingkungan adalah sebesar 0,508 (sedang). Hal tersebut berarti jika skor penguasaan konsep lingkungan tinggi, maka skor environmental awareness juga tinggi. Penguasaan konsep siswa tentang lingkungan memberikan kontribusi terhadap environmental awareness siswa sebesar 25,8%. Kata kunci: Environmental Awareness, Penguasaan Konsep Lingkungan This study aims to look at the relationship and contribution between environmental awareness and mastery of student concept about the environment at MAN 3 Sukabumi. This research was conducted on three classes with different levels, namely class X, XI, and XII, with a sample of 109 students. This type of research is descriptive research with correlation technique. The sampling technique was carried out by means of stratified random sampling. The research instruments used were environmental awareness questionnaires, mastery tests of students concepts about the environment, and unstructured interviews. The results showed that the correlation value formed from environmental awareness and mastery of students concepts about the environment was 0,508 (moderate). This means that if the students mastery score of the environment is high, then the environmental awareness score is also high.
