Abstract
Rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematis siswa Indonesia berdasarkan hasil tes PISA 2018 berimplikasi pada pentingnya melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan pada berbagai aspek diantaranya adalah proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model PBL berbasis HOTS terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMA pada materi barisan serta untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penerapan model PBL berbasis HOTS pada materi barisan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode pre-experimental design tipe pretest-posttest non equivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA di salah satu Sekolah Mengengah Atas (SMA) di Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten, sedangkan sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI MIPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan uji statistik menunjukan bahwa 1) Model PBL Berbasis HOTS berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMA pada materi barisan. Besar pengaruh adalah r = 0.90718 atau 82.30% yang setara dengan efek tinggi. 2) Secara menyeluruh rata-rata respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL berbasis HOTS adalah 72.41 yang termasuk pada kategori positif. The low mathematical literacy skills of Indonesian students based on the results of the 2018 PISA test have implications for the importance of making improvements in various aspects including the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the PBL based HOTS on increasing the mathematical literacy ability of high school students in sequence material and to determine student responses to the application of the PBL based HOTS on sequence material. This is a quantitative research using pre-experimental design method pretest-posttest non equivalent group design. The population in this study were students of class XI MIPA in one of the senior high schools in Serang Regency, Banten Province, while the samples of this study were students of class XI MIPA 5 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 3 as the control class. Based on statistical tests, it shows that 1) the PBL based HOTS had an effect on increasing the mathematical literacy skills of high school students on the sequence material. The magnitude of the effect is r = 0.90718 or 82.30% which is equivalent to a high effect. 2) Overall, the average student response to learning using the PBL based HOTS is 72.41 which is included in the positive category.
