Abstract
Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh pentingnya perilaku prososial bagi remaja. Perilaku prososial dapat memberikan dampak yang positif bagi pengembangan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran umum perilaku prososial peserta didik dan menganalisis perbandingan perilaku prososial berdasarkan gender peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 19 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 sebanyak 296 peserta didik dan penetapan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling yang menghasilkan 176 peserta didik sebagai sampel. Data penelitian mengenai perilaku prososial diperoleh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner secara digital. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji Mann Whitney U-test dan dibantu program SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, gambaran perilaku prososial peserta didik kelas VIII dalam kategori tinggi dan terdapat perbedaan perilaku prososial pada remaja secara signifikan berdasarkan gender. This research is motivated by the importance of prosocial behavior for adolescents. Prosocial behavior can have a positive impact on self-development. This research aims to get on overview of the prosocial behavior of the studens and analyse the comparison of prosocial behavior based on the gender of class VIII at SMP Negeri 19 Bandung, academic year 2021/2022. The research method used is a comparative methoed with a quantitative approach. Participants in the study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 19 Bandung in the 2021/2022 academic year as many as 296 students and the determination of the sample using the convenience sampling technique which resulted in 176 students as the sample. Research data on prosocial behavior is obtained by digital distribution. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Mann Whitney U-test and assisted by the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). The results showed that in general, the description of prosocial behavior of class VIII students was in the high category and there were significant differences in prosocial behavior in adolescents based on gender.
