Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengorganisasian, pendanaan, proses, sarana dan prasana serta prestasi pembinaan dan pengembangan olahraga tenis meja melalui sistem kompetisi terhadap eksistensi perkumpulan tenis meja di kota Bandung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan sampel anggota PTMSI Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 18 klub dengan menggunakan instrument angket tentang pembinaan dan pengembangan klub olahraga yang diadaptasi dari Komarudin (2016) dan program kompetisi pertandingan yang telah disusun pada Technical Handbook Sirkuit Daerah 2021. Data dianalisis melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, analisis data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah model pembinaan dan pengembangan melalui kompetisi dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap eksistensi klub tenis meja. Kesimpulan dengan program sistem kompetisi untuk klub, maka klub akan berperan aktif dengan melakukan pembinaan tenis meja dan latihan fisik untuk mempersiapkan dirinya dalam menghadapi atau berpartisipasi pada kejuaraan sirkuit daerah yang telah diprogramkan, sehingga eksistensi klub tetap terjaga. Abstract The purpose of this study is to find out how the organization, funding, process, facilities and infrastructure as well as the achievement of coaching and developing table tennis through a competition system on the existence of table tennis associations in the city of Bandung. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a sample of 18 clubs of PTMSI Bandung City using a questionnaire instrument about the coaching and development of sports clubs adapted from Komarudin (2016) and a competition program that has been compiled in the 2021 Regional Circuit Technical Handbook. The data were analyzed through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, data analysis and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is that the model of coaching and development through competition can have an influence on the existence of a table tennis club. In conclusion, with the competition system program for the club, the club will play an active role by conducting table tennis coaching and physical exercise to prepare itself to face or participate in the regional circuit championships that have been programmed, so that the club's existence is maintained.
