Abstract
Penelitian deskriptif mengenai studi profil literasi sains siswa dan pembelajarannya di SMP Kota Banda Aceh, bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana aspek-aspek literasi sains menurut PISA 2018 terinternalisasi dalam proses pembelajaran IPA SMP. Selain itu dalam penelitian ini dikaji juga dampaknya terhadap literasi sains siswa. Data penelitian untuk mengungkap kemunculan aspek literasi sains pada perencaaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran siswa SMP Kota Banda Aceh dalam mata pelajaran IPA. Menggunakan instrumen yang mengacu kepada kerangka kerja Programme for International Student Assesment (PISA) 2015. Teknik penjaringan data dilakukan melalui observasi, survei, dan analisis konten. Partisipan penelitian melibatkan 9 SMP dari 9 kecamatan se-kota Banda Aceh setiap kecamatan dipilih 1 sekolah. Total partisipan yang dilibatkan 135 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan untuk komponen perencanaan, aspek pengetahuan tersaji sebesar 35,9% terbesar tetapi aspek yang didominsi oleh aspek kompetensi untuk indikator menjelaskan fenomena secara saintifik. Pada komponen pelaksanaan, aspek pengetahuan tersaji sebesar 44,8% terbesar dan juga didominasi oleh aspek pengetahuan untuk indikator pengetahuan epistemik. Pada komponen evaluasi, aspek konteks tersaji sebesar 41,2% yang didominasi oleh aspek kompetensi untuk indikator menafsirkan data dan bukti secara saintifik. Profil literasi sains dalam menjawab soal PISA 2015 hanya 1,48% siswa mampu menjawab hingga level 2. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa profil literasi sains siswa SMP Kota Banda Aceh masih relatif rendah. Praktek pembelajaran sains kurang memberikan kontribusi terhadap capaian literasi sains siswa SMP Kota Banda Aceh. The descriptive research on the scientific literacy profile of students and their learning at SMP Kota Banda Aceh has been done to examine the internalization of scientific literacy aspects (according to PISA 2018) along science learning in secondary schools. In addition, this study also examined the impact of science learning process on students' scientific literacy. The research subjects were students, science teachers, and lesson plan of science learning in Banda Aceh Region. Research data were gained to reveal the aspects of scientific literacy in planning learning, implementation of learning, and evaluation of learning. The science literacy data were collected through an instrument refers to the 2015 (PISA) framework. The qualitative data were collected through the observation, interview, and content analysis. The research involved 9 junior high schools from 9 sub-districts throughout the city of Banda Aceh. One school was selected randomly from every sub-distric. The total student involved were 135 students. The results showed that in the planning component, the knowledge aspect was presented at the largest portions as much as 35,9%. The competency aspect was dominated by the indicators explain the phenomenon scientifically. In the implementation component, the largest portion (44,8%) is belong to knowledge aspect and it was dominated by the epistemic knowledge indicator. In the evaluation component, the context aspect is presented as many as 41,2% which is dominated by the competence aspect in indicator interpreting scientific data and evidence. Student showed the lower level of scientific literacy. Only 1,48% of students were able to answer up to level 2. This shows that the scientific literacy profile of Banda Aceh Junior High School students is still low. Since the practice of learning science does not meet with the scientific literacy goals, so it gave large impeact to the student science literacy in Banda Aceh
