Abstract

Peserta didik tingkat sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) merupakan masa perkembangan kognitif yang sudah memasuki tahap operasional formal yang bernalar secara abstrak, idealis, logis, serta peka terhadap rasa sosial yang tinggi, sehingga kepribadian harus dikembangkan sepenuhnya melalui efikasi diri dan harus sadar terhadap norma sosial. Sebagai makhluk sosial maka interaksi dengan orang lain pasti terjadi yang tidak lepas dari rasa menghargai orang lain melalui perilaku sopan santun. Penelitian ini berangkat dari pengamatan terhadap peserta didik tingkat SMP yang menunjukkan perilaku kurang sopan santun baik terhadap diri sendiri maupun orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap pengaruh dan kontribusi norma sosial dan efikasi diri terhadap perilaku sopan santun peserta didik. Metode penelitan yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui instrumen dalam bentuk angket yang disebarkan kepada 246 peserta didik kelas sembilan sebagai sampel dari tujuh sekolah menengah tingkat pertama (SMP) dengan populasi 77 SMP negeri di Kabupaten Bekasi dan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 22.021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan norma sosial sudah berjalan cukup baik dengan rata-rata 74,40%, dan efikasi diri yang dimiliki peserta didik cukup baik dengan rata-rata sebesar 72,39%. Hubungan norma sosial dengan perilaku sopan santun tergolong kuat dengan kontribusi sebesar 58,52%, adapun hubungan efikasi diri dengan perilaku sopan santun peserta didik tergolong cukup kuat dengan kontribusi sebesar 28,26%. Hubungan norma sosial dan efikasi diri secara bersama-sama dengan perilaku sopan santun peserta didik tergolong kuat, dengan kontribusi sebesar 60,80%. Berdasarkan temuan ini, diharapkan kepada pihak sekolah untuk tetap menjaga dan mengintensifkan sosialisasi norma sosial kepada peserta didik baik melalui kegiatan belajar mengajar, pemberlakuan norma sosial secara ketat di lingkungan sekolah, maupun bekerja sama dengan pihak masyarakat. Perilaku sopan santun juga tidak lepas dari efikasi diri yang dimiliki peserta didik, dimana efikasi diri dapat dibentuk melalui contoh teladan yang dilakukan oleh pendidik sehingga keyakinan diri peserta didik akan semakin baik. ABSTRACT Learners junior high school (SMP) is a period of cognitive development that has entered the stage of formal operational reasoning in the abstract, idealistic, logical, and sensitive to the high social sense, so it should be fully developed personality through self-efficacy and should be aware of the social norms . As social beings that interaction with others is definitely going on that can not be separated from respect for others through behavioral manners. This study departs from the observation of junior high students who lack manners showed good behavior towards oneself and others. This study aims to reveal the influence and contribution of social norms and self-efficacy on behavior of learners manners. Research method used was a survey with data collection techniques through instrument in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 246 ninth grade students as a sample of seven junior high school (SMP) with a population of 77 junior high school in Bekasi and number as many as 22 021 learners. The results showed social norms has been running quite well with an average 74.40%, and self-efficacy possessed good enough learners with an average of 72.39%. Relationship with the social norms of behavior manners relatively strong with a contribution of 58.52%, while the self-efficacy relationships with learners manners of behavior is quite strong with a contribution of 28.26%. The relationship of social norms and self-efficacy together with behavioral manners relatively strong learners, with a contribution of 60.80%. Based on these findings, it is expected the school to maintain and intensify the dissemination of social norms to students through teaching and learning activities, strict enforcement of social norms in the school environment, and working together with the community.Behavior manners also not free of self-efficacy possessed learners, which self-efficacy can be established through exemplary conducted by educators so that confidence will be better learners.
