Abstract

Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa pola asuh yang diterapkan setiap keluarga memberikan dampak tertentu terhadap perkembangan identitas diri anak, meskipun latar belakang setiap keluarga berbeda, mereka memiliki satu tujuan yang sama yaitu bertanggung jawab atas kesejahteraan anak. Begitu juga dengan penerapan military parenting oleh keluarga dengan profesi militer dimana tidak semua keluarga menerapkan pola asuh yang identik dengan keluarga berprofesi militer, maka dari itu pola yang diterapkan serta dampaknya akan berbeda. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu pengaruh military parenting terhadap identitas diri anak remaja, dikarenakan peneliti merasa bahwa pendampingan pada anak remaja merupakan salah satu fase penting berkembangnya pembentukan identitas diri. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penelitian menggunakan data statistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner tertutup dengan skala likert dan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 86 responden dari 600 populasi berdasarkan rumus slovin dengan presisi kesalahan 10%. Hasil yang ditemukan peneliti berupa: 1) military parenting yang diterapkan merupakan gaya pengasuhan campuran antara pola asuh demokratis (authoritative) dan otoriter (authoritarian) atau demokrasi semi otoriter, 2) identitas diri anak remaja pada siswa SMAN 14 sudah cukup baik meskipun masih ada beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam pembentukan identitas dirinya, dan 3) military parenting memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap identitas diri anak remaja pada siswa SMAN 14 Bandung. It is undeniable that the parenting applied by each family has a certain impact on the development of the child's self-identity, although the background of each family is different, they have the same goal, which is to be responsible for the welfare of the child. Likewise with the application of military parenting by families with military professions where not all families apply parenting patterns that are identical to those of military professions, therefore the pattern applied and the impact will be different. Thus, this study aims to find out the effect of military parenting on adolescent self-identity, because researchers feel that mentoring for adolescents is one of the important phases of the development of self-identity formation. In this research, the researcher uses a quantitative approach with descriptive method which aims to describe the research using statistical data. This study used a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale and the sample used was 86 respondents from 600 populations based on the Slovin formula with an error precision of 10%. The results found by the researchers were: 1) the military parenting applied was a mixed parenting style between democratic (authoritative) and authoritarian (authoritarian) or semi-authoritarian democracy parenting, 2) adolescent self-identity in SMAN 14 students was quite good although there were still some things that must be considered in the formation of his identity, and 3) military parenting has a significant influence on the self-identity of adolescent children at SMAN 14 Bandung students.
