Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan studi sastra yang bergerak ke luar tata sastra, padahal pengembangan wacana sastra tidak mungkin berhasil tanpa pengetahuan yang memadai mengenai konsep cerita dan penceritaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) struktur cerita dan (2) pola penceritaan dalam novel Indonesia kontemporer, serta (3) pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan pengayaan apresiasi sastra berakses media sosial. Novel Indonesia kontemporer yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Orang-Orang Oetimu dan Aib dan Nasib. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif analitis. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik studi pustaka dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) struktur cerita kedua novel merujuk pada sebuah ide mengenai lokalitas atau ruang kultural yang menyimpan potret sosial masyarakat dalam konteks kolonialisme dan kemiskinan, (2) pola penceritaan kedua novel memiliki kesamaan secara dominan pada lima aspek naratif yang membentuk kompleksitas penceritaan, yaitu urutan, durasi, frekuensi, modus, dan suara naratif, dan (3) hasil penelitian ini dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan pengayaan untuk mendukung kegiatan apresiasi sastra dengan persentase kelayakan 92,4%. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pendidik dan peserta didik untuk memperkaya pengetahuan mengenai konsep cerita dan penceritaan dalam novel Indonesia kontemporer. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh peneliti lain sebagai referensi kajian mengenai naratologi dan pengembangan bahan pengayaan apresiasi sastra berakses media sosial dengan konten yang bervariatif. Kata Kunci: Bahan Pengayaan, Cerita, Penceritaan This research is motivated by the tendency of literary studies moving outside to the literary system, whereas the development of literary discourse is impossible without adequate knowledge of the concept of story and narrative discourse. The aims of this study are (1) to describe the structure of the story and (2) the pattern of narrative discourse in contemporary Indonesian novels, and (3) to use it as an enrichment material for literary appreciation on social media. The contemporary Indonesian novel studied in this study are the novel Orang-Orang Oetimu and Aib dan Nasib. This research was conducted with an analytical descripive mehod. The research data was collected by using literature study and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that (1) the story structure of the two novels refers to an idea about locality or cultural space that holds a social portrait of society inte the context of colonialism and poverty, (2) the narrative pattern of the two novels has dominant similarities in five narrative aspects made up the complexity of the narrative, namely order, duration, frequency, mode, and voice, and (3) the results of this study are used as online enrichment materials to support literary appreciation activities with a feasibility percentage of 92.4%. The results of this study can be used by educators and learners to enrich knowledge about the concept of story and narrative discourse in contemporary Indonesian novels. In addition, the results of this study can be used by other researchers as a reference for studies on narratology and the development of online enrichment materials for literary appreciation with varied content.
