Abstract

Salah satu masalah siswa SMA yang harus diperbaiki untuk menunjang perkembangan zaman saat ini adalah lemahnya kemampuan dalam memecahkan atau menyelesaikan masalah. Pemecahan masalah tersebut merupakan proses pengambilan keputusan yang dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman, pengetahuan, dan interpretesi tugas. Hal ini juga berdampak pada respon sikap siswa terhadap pelajaran. Maka perlu menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat untuk menunjang hal-hal tersebut. Oleh karena itu peneliti bermaksud melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai perubahan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa SMA dengan diterapkannya model problem based learning serta pengaruhnya terhadap sikap siswa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimental dengan desain penelitian one-grup pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 37 siswa kelas 11 pada salah satu SMA Swasta di Kota Bandung. Sampel diberi pretest, posttest berupa soal esai serta angket sikap terhadap fisika. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,4. Serta diketahui adanya korelasi antara model problem based learning terhadap sikap siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui berdasarkan uji hipotesis paired t-test dengan nilai Sig sebesar 0,000. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah menggunakan model problem based learning serta adanya pengaruh positif dari sikap siswa terhada fisika setelah diberikan model problem based learning. One of the problems of high school students that must be improved to support the development of today's times is the weak ability to solve or solve problems. Problem-solving is a decision-making process that is influenced by experience, knowledge, and interpretation of tasks. It also has an impact on the response of students' attitudes to lessons. Then it is necessary to use the right learning strategies to support these things. Therefore, researchers intend to conduct research aimed at getting an idea of the changing problem-solving abilities of high school students with the application of problem-based learning models and their effect on student attitudes. The method used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design research design. The study sample consisted of 37 11th grade students at one of the Private High Schools in Bandung. The sample was given a pretest, posttest in the form of essay questions and attitudes towards physics. The results of the data analysis showed an increase in problem-solving capabilities with an N-gain value of 0.4. There is also a correlation between problem-based learning models and student attitudes. The conclusion of this study can be known based on the paired t-test hypothesis test with a Sig value of 0.000. This shows that there is an increase in problem-solving skills using problem-based learning models as well as the positive influence of student attitudes in physics after being given a problem-based learning model.
