Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran profil kesiapan studi lanjutan peserta didik, serta program bimbingan karir dengan teknik eksplorasi karir yang dapat meningkatkan kesiapan peserta didik dalam melanjutkan studi ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Pengambilan data dilakukan kepada 187 orang peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Negeri 6 Jakarta. Pendekatan kuatitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan metode penelitian studi deskriptif. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian didapatkan dari hasil analisis instrumen kesiapan studi lanjutan yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori Conley mengenai college and career readiness. Hasil penelitian menunjukan data bahwa mayoritas peserta didik berada dalam kategori cukup siap dengan persentase sebesar 66.8%. Artinya salah satu dari empat aspek kesiapan studi lanjutan diantara kognitif, keterampilan akademik, perilaku akademik, dan pengetahuan seputar perguruan tinggi mayoritas peserta didik masih belum memenuhi kualitas kesiapan studi lanjutan yang maksimal. Bimbingan dan konseling diharapkan mampu memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam mempersiapkan karirnya baik dalam mengikuti studi lanjutan maupun dalam menghadapi dunia kerja. Pada penelitian ini program bimbingan karir dihasilkan sebagai alternatif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan studi lanjutan peserta didik. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling sebagai rujukan untuk membantu peserta didik dalam membuat perencanaan dan mempersiapkan diri menghadapi fase memasuki perguruan tinggi. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya program bimbingan karir dengan teknik eksplorasi karir ini dapat dikembangkan dengan melakukan uji kelayakan dan uji coba program kepada peserta didik yang belum memiliki kesiapan studi lanjutan yang cukup maupun yang sudah berada pada kategori tinggi sebagai perbandingan dari hasil atau ketercapaian yang diharapkan. Career Guidance Program with Career Exploration Techniques to Improve Students' College Readiness (Descriptive Study of Career Guidance Program Development for Students at SMA Negeri 6 Jakarta, Academic Year 2020/2021) The research aims to obtain a profile of students' college readiness, as well as career guidance programs with career exploration techniques that can increase students' readiness to continue their studies to postsecondary level. Data collection was carried out on 187 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 6 Jakarta. A quantitative approach is used in this study with a descriptive study research method. The data obtained in the study were obtained from the analysis of college readiness instrument which was developed based on Conley's theory of college and career readiness. The results showed that the majority of students were in the fairly ready category with a percentage of 66.8%. This means that one of the four aspects of further study readiness among cognitive, academic skills, academic behavior, and college knowledge, the majority of students still do not meet the maximum quality of college readiness. Guidance and counseling are expected to be able to facilitate students in preparing for their careers, both in following college readiness and in facing the world of work. In this study, a career guidance program was produced as an alternative in increasing students' college readiness. Research recommendations are addressed to guidance and counseling teachers as a reference to assist students in planning and preparing for the phase of entering college. For further researchers, career guidance programs with career exploration techniques can be developed by conducting feasibility tests and program trials for students who do not have sufficient of college readiness or who are already in the high category as a comparison of the expected results or achievements.
