Abstract

Abstrak Rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VA SDN Ligar Manah terlihat dari hasil pretest yang menunjukkan hanya ada 6 siswa yang berhasil mencapai KKM ≥70. Untuk memperbaiki hal tersebut peneliti menerapkan model pembelajaran Cooperative Learning tipe group investigation (GI) pada proses pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Menganalisis aktivitas belajar siswa selama menerapkan model GI, dan 2) Mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas V SDN Ligar Manah setelah penerapan model GI. Model pembelajaran group investigation adalah proses pembelajaran berkelompok yang mengharuskan siswa bekerja mandiri untuk memecahkan masalah. Metode penelitian menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan pelaksanaan sebanyak dua siklus. Subjek pada penelitian ini siswa kelas VA SDN Ligar Manah, berlokasi di Kecamatan Cipeundeuy Kabupaten Subang. Hasil penelitian dengan menerapkan model GI menunjukkan adanya peningkatan disetiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I rata-rata hasil pretest sebesar 59.34 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 18%, mengalami peningkatan pada posttest siklus I memiliki rata-rata 78.78 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 81%, sedangkan pada rata-rata hasil pretest sebesar 62.81 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 12.5%, meningkat pada rata-rata posttest siklus II menjadi 85.93 dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 100%. Adapun aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 72%, mengalami peningkatan menjadi 87% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model kooperatif tipe group investigation (GI) dapat meingkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VA SDN Ligar Manah Cipeundeuy. Kata kunci : Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Group Investigation (GI) ----- Abstract The lack of student’s understanding of the learning concept in the class of 5A at SDN LIGAR MANAH, can be seen from the pretest wich show that there are only six students who achieve the score of ≥70. In order to improve the student unsderstanding of learning concept, the researchers apllyes cooperative learning type group investigation model of learning (GI). Purpose of this research is 1) to analyze the students activity during learning through the GI model, 2) and to improve the abilities of student concept of learning. The GI model is group discusion learning wich is students has to work on their on to solve the problem. The research method used by classroom action research (PTK), with the implementation of two cycles. The research subject of fifth grade students in the elemtary school of Ligar Manah, located in sub-district Cipeundeuy, Subang. The result of this research by applying the GI model show that there is an increase in every circle. The first cycle pretst is above 59.34 with learning completeness of 18%, post test is above 78.78 with learning completeness of 81%. while the result of the second pretest 62.81 with learning completeness of 12.5%, and increase in post test reach 85.93 with learning completeness of 100%. As for student activities in cycle I 72% increase to 87%. Based on this research, we can conclude that the GI model can improve the abilities of student understanding concept of learning of the class of 5A students at SDN LigarR Manah Cipeundeuy Keywords : Cooperative Learning type Group Investigation (GI)
