Abstract
ABSTRAK PenelitianBerdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di kelas IV A SDN Dawuan Barat II Kabupaten Karawang menunjukkan kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa masih rendah. Hal ini mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian di kelas tersebut. Tujuan diadakan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan sosial siswa kelas IV di sekolah dasar setelah pembelajaran IPS dengan menerapkan model Cooperative Learning tipe Student Teams Achievment Division (STAD).STAD merupakan satu sistem belajar kelompok yang didalamnya siswa dibentuk ke dalam kelompok yang terdiri dari 4-6 orang secara heterogen. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Kemmis dan McTaggart, terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 siklus. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa-siswi kelas IV A yang berjumlah 31 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi siswa, lembar observasi guru dan lembar hasil evaluasi kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase rata-rata aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 51,45% dengan kategori kurang, meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 68,79% dengan kategori cukup dan meningkat pada siklus III sebesar 86,13% dengan kategori sangat baik.Sama halnya dengan hasil persentase tes kemampuan keterampilan sosial siklus I sebesar 32% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 845%. Dan meningkat pada siklus III sebesar 87%. Jadi, hasil dari penelitian melalui penerapan model Student Teams Achievment Division(STAD) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan keterampilan sosial siswa pada pembelajaran Tematik, khususnya IPS di sekolah dasar. This prompted researchers to conduct research in the class. The purpose of this study was to find out the improvement of social skills of fourth grade students in elementary schools after social studies learning by applying the Cooperative Learning model of the type of Student Teams Achievment Division (STAD). STAD is a group learning system in which students are formed into heterogeneous groups of 4-6 people. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart research design, consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This study consisted of 3 cycles. The subjects of the study were 31 grade IV students. The research instruments used in this study were student observation sheets, teacher observation sheets and the results sheet evaluation of students' social skills abilities. Based on the results of the study showed the average percentage of student activity in the first cycle amounted to 51.45% with less categories, increased in the second cycle by 68.79% with sufficient categories and increased in the third cycle by 86.13% with a very good category. the case with the results of the percentage of social skills ability tests in the first cycle of 32% and increased in the second cycle of 845%. And increased in cycle III by 87%. So, the results of the research through the application of the Student Teams Achievment Division (STAD) model can improve students' social skills in Thematic learning, especially social studies in elementary schools.
