Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya penggunaan media pembelajaran khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika, serta adanya kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan perhitungan keliling dan luas bangun datar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk merancang dan mengembangkan media membelajaran video animasi untuk mengatasi permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Design and Development (D&D) dengan prosedur ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi memperoleh kategori “layak”, penilaian dari ahli media memperoleh kategori “sangat layak”. Kemudian, tanggapan dari guru memperoleh kategori “sangat layak”, serta tanggapan dari siswa kelas IV yang berada di lingkungan Selaawi Kabupaten Garut memperoleh kategori “sangat layak”. Hasil penilaian yang diperoleh ahli dan tanggapan pengguna menandakan bahwa media video animasi ini sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar di kelas IV SD. ----- This research was motivated by the less than optimal use of the learning media, especially in the mathematics subject, also by the existence of students who are having difficulties in completing the calculation of keliling dan luas bangun datar material. The aim of this research was to design and develop the learning media of animated video to solve the problems. This research used Design and Development research methods by the ADDIE Procedure (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Based on the results of the material expert’s assessment, it was in the “worthy” category, the assessment from the media expert obtained the “very feasible” category. Then, the responses from the teachers got the “very decent” category, and the responses from the fourth grade students in Selaawi Kabupaten Garut got the “very decent” category. The results of the assessment that were obtained from the experts and the users’ responses indicated that video animation media is very suitable to be used as the learning media in Areas and Perimeters of Two-Dimensional Geometric Figures for fourth grade students at primary school.
