Abstract

Menyontek merupakan fenomena yang sudah tidak asing lagi dalam dunia pendidikan. Perilaku menyontek tidak hanya dilakukan oleh peserta didik pada tingkat sekolah dasar dan menengah, namun dilakukan juga oleh peserta didik tingkat pendidikan tinggi. Salah satu penyebab mahasiswa menyontek adalah ketidakyakinan akan kemampuan dalam menyelesaikan ujian dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-efficacy terhadap perilaku menyontek pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Akuntansi di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dengan gender sebagai variabel moderator. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa pada Program Studi Pendidikan Akuntansi angkatan 2016-2019. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 188 orang dari populasi yang berjumlah 358 orang. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan alat ukur skala self-efficacy dari Albert Bandura, sedangkan alat ukur perilaku menyontek disusun berdasarkan teori Cizek. Adapun analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan analisis regresi moderasi atau Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh negatif sebesar -4,669. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi self-efficacy mahasiswa maka akan semakin rendah perilaku menyonteknya. Hasil lainnya menunjukkan bahwa variabel moderasi atau interaksi antara gender dengan self-efficacy sebesar -0,306. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gender tidak memoderasi self-efficacy terhadap perilaku menyontek. Informasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan acuan dalam upaya meningkatkan self-efficacy dan meminimalisir lagi perilaku menyontek pada mahasiswa. Cheating is a familiar phenomenon in the world of education. Cheating behavior is not only done by students at the elementary and secondary school level but also done by students at the higher education level. One of the causes of students cheating is the lack of confidence in the ability to complete the exam well. This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on cheating behavior in Accounting Education Study Program students at the Indonesian University of Education with gender as a moderator variable. This research is a survey research. The population in this study were students in the 2016-2019 Accounting Education Study Program. The study sample consisted of 188 people from 358 people in the population. Sampling in this study using the technique of Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Data collection uses a self-efficacy scale measurement tool from Albert Bandura, while the cheating behavior measurement tool is prepared based on Cizek’s theory. The analysis used is to use a Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of this study indicate a negative influence of -4,669. This means that the higher the students’s self-efficacy, the lower the cheating behavior. Other results indicate that the moderating variable or the interaction between gender and self-efficacy is -0,306. This shows that gender does not moderate self-efficacy in cheating behavior. Information from this research is expected to be used as a reference in an effort to improve self-efficacy and minimize cheating behavior on students.
