Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan realitas yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sekolah dasar khususnya kelas III. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model CTL terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian pre-eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one-grup pretest-posttest design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 15 siswa sekolah dasar di Purwakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes dan dokumentasi. Tes yang digunakan berbentuk uraian. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif uji N-Gain dan analisis deskriptif uji regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model CTL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas III sekolah dasar pada pokok bahasan operasi hitung bilangan cacah. Terlihat dari hasil pretest yang menunjukkan rata-rata sebesar 6,97 sementara rata-rata posttest sebesar 21,47. Rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,86 (kategori tinggi). Dari data pretest dan posttest diperoleh nilai F hitung = 15,866 dengan tingkat signifikasi sebesar 0,002 ˂ 0,05 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 55%. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa model CTL dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. ----- The background of this research about importance ability to realize mathematical concepts for elementary school students and the reality that shows the low comprehend ability of mathematical concepts in elementary school students, especially grade III. This research aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on the capibility mathematical concepts of elementary school students. The type of research used pre-experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The subjects in this research were 15 elementary school students in Purwakarta. The instruments used in this research were description tests and documentation. This research uses quantitative data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis of the N-Gain test and descriptive analysis of simple regression tests. The results showed that the average pretest was 6.97 and the posttest average was 21.47. The average N-Gain is 0.86 (high category). From the pretest and posttest data, the calculated F value = 15.866 with a significance level of 0.002 ˂ 0.05 and a coefficient of determination of 55%. So it can be concluded that the CTL model can have an influence on the capibility mathematical concepts of student.
