Abstract
ABSTRAK Saat ini, ekstrakurikuler angklung di sekolah telah menjadi kegiatan yang lumrah dalam rangka membina minat dan bakat siswa, khususnya dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang berhubungan dengan seni. Semua sekolah dapat memanfaatkan angklung, karena alat musik tersebut bisa dimainkan oleh semua kalangan, termasuk para peserta didik yang ada di sekolah luar biasa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan bagaimana kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung dijadikan media ekspresi bagi anak tunarungu di SLBN Cicendo Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu Metode Deskripsi Analisis dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode deskripsi analisis ini digunakan untuk mengkaji bagaimana angklung tersebut digunakan sebagai media ekspresi. Peneliti melakukan wawancara mendalam kepada pelatih ekstrakurikuler angklung disana, tentang bagaimana aplikasinya. Selama pandemic Covid-19, wawancara dilakukan melalui telepon dan media What’App. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak tunarungu sangat antusias dalam memainkan alat musik angklung ini, meskipun mereka memiliki keterbatasan dalam pendengaran, mereka mengeluarkan ekspresi mereka masing-masing melalui emosi dan perasaan mereka lewat lagu yang dimainkan. Metode dalam kegiatan Angklung tersebut menggunakan metode visual. Dan menggunakan metode drill (berulang-ulang). Mereka berhasil tampil di depan banyak orang dengan percaya diri. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung tersebut membuahkan hasil yang baik sehingga banyak orang yang antusias melihat anak-anak tersebut memainkan Angklung. Kata Kunci : Angklung, Tunarungu ABSTRACT Currently, angklung extracurricular activities in schools have become a common activity in order to foster students' interests and talents, especially in extracurricular activities related to art. All schools can use the angklung, because the instrument can be played by all people, including students in special schools. The purpose of this study was to describe how angklung extracurricular activities were used as a medium of expression for deaf children at SLBN Cicendo Bandung. The method used in this research is the Description Analysis Method with interview and documentation data collection techniques. This analytical description method is used to examine how the angklung is used as a medium of expression. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews with angklung extracurricular trainers there, about how they were applied. During the Covid-19 pandemic, interviews were conducted via telephone and What'App media. The results showed that deaf children were very enthusiastic in playing this angklung musical instrument, even though they had limitations in hearing, they made their own expressions through their emotions and feelings through the songs they played. The method in the Angklung activity uses the visual method. And use the drill method (repeatedly). They managed to appear in front of many people with confidence. Therefore, the angklung extracurricular activities produced good results so that many people were enthusiastic to see the children playing Angklung. Keywords: Angklung, Deaf
