Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul peranan PhET ABS dalam pembelajaran remedial terhadap penguasaan konsep larutan asam-basa dan membangun keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai peranan PhET ABS dalam pembelajaran remedial terhadap penguasaan konsep larutan asam-basa dan membangun keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen one group pre-test and post-test. Sampel merupakan siswa kelas 3 SMA salah satu sekolah negeri di Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa test tertulis pretest-postest, LKS, dan angket. Data diuji menggunakan uji t dan uji Anova satu jalur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, (1) PhET ABS memiliki peranan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran remedial, (2) PhET ABS sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep secara signifikan pada siswa kelompok rendah, (3) PhET dapat membangun keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA untuk empat indikator. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran Remedial, PhET ABS, Penguasaan Konsep, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis (KBK) This research entitles the role of PhET ABS in remedial teaching toward the mastery of acid-base solution concept and building the skill of high school student’s critical thingking. Purpose of this research is to obtain information regarding the role of PhET ABS in remedial teaching toward the mastery of acid-base solution concept and building critical thinking skills of high school students. This research used a pre-experimental methods one group pre-test and post-test. Samples are high school students in grade 3 at one of public school in Bandung. Instruments used such as pretest-posttest, worksheets, and questionnaires. Data were tested using the t test and one way ANOVA test. This research found that (1) PhET ABS has a role to increase the quality of study result, so far as it can be use in remedial teaching, (2) PhET ABS has a role to increase the concept mastery significantly towards the low group students, (3) PhET ABS can build critical thinking skills of high school students for four indicator.
