Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketidaktuntasan siswa dalam mempelajari materi perkalian yang disebabkan bahan ajar yang digunakan kurang bervariasi. Setelah dilakukan analisis, terdapat beberapa kekurangan pada buku siswa tersebut, diantaranya bentuk kegiatan hampir sama yaitu pemodelan. Sehingga kurang memunculkan rasa penasaran siswa dalam belajar. Sehingga dari permasalahan tersebut, penulis berupaya untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar tambahan yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran agar lebih bervariasi. Pada penelitian ini, penulis mengembangkan bahan ajar dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Design and Development dengan langkah desain Richey & Klein (2007) yaitu Planning, Production and Evaluation (PPE). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah; (1) telah dikembangkan bahan ajar materi perkalian berbasis pendekatan kontekstual untuk kelas II SD yang bisa dipakai ketika proses pembelajaran; (2) hasil penilaian dari ketiga ahli menyatakan bahwa bahan ajar ini sangat layak untuk digunakan dengan rincian dari ahli materi mendapat persentase 97,73% dengan kategori Sangat Layak, dari ahli desain mendapatkan persentase 78,75% dengan kategori Sangat Layak dan dari ahli bahasa mendapatkan persentase 91,67% dengan kategori Sangat Layak. This research was motivated by the students in learning multiplication material due to the less varied teaching materials used. After the analysis, there are several shortcomings in the student book, including almost the same form of activity, namely modeling. So that it does not raise students' curiosity in learning. So from these problems, the author seeks to develop additional teaching materials that can be used in the learning process to make it more varied. In this study, the authors develop teaching materials using the Design and Development research method with the design steps of Richey & Klein (2007), namely Planning, Production and Evaluation (PPE). The results of this study are; (1) have developed teaching materials for multiplication materials based on contextual approaches for grade II SD that can be used in the learning process; (2) the results of the assessments from the three experts stated that this teaching material was very feasible to use with details from material experts getting a percentage of 97.73% in the Very Eligible category, from design experts getting a percentage of 78.75% in the Eligible category and from linguists getting the percentage of 91.67% in the Very Eligible category.
