Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh upaya peningkatan kemampuan Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) pada siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar yang masih rendah. Untuk berdampingan dengan era globalisasi yang penuh persaingan dan komplek, kemampuan HOTS penting diterapkan. Sementara adaptasi baru pada dunia pendidikan saat ini pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring di tengah upaya peningkatan kemampuan HOTS. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh deskripsi mengenai penerapan kemampuan HOTS dalam pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi Covid 19 serta menganalisis kemampuan peserta didik dari tiap indikator yaitu tingkat kemampuan menganalisis (C4), menilai (C5), dan mencipta (C6). Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Kualitatif dengan model studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah 8 orang peserta didik dan 2 orang guru kelas IV di salah satu sekolah di Purwakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan Tes, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kemampuan HOTS masih bisa diterapkan. Satu orang peserta didik dapat mencapai kemampuan C5 (menilai), empat peserta didik mencapai kemampuan C4 (menganalisis), tiga peserta didik masih kurang dalam kemampuan HOTS. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan HOTS, Pembelajaran Daring, Sekolah Dasar ----- This research is motivated by efforts to increase the ability of Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in fourth grade elementary school students who are still low. To coexist with the era of globalization which is full of competition and complex, it is important to apply HOTS capabilities. Meanwhile, the new adaptation in the world of education is currently learning carried out online in the midst of efforts to increase HOTS capabilities. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of the application of HOTS capabilities in online learning during the Covid 19 pandemic and to analyze the ability of students from each indicator, namely the level of ability to analyze (C4), assess (C5), and create (C6). The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study model. The subjects in the study were 8 students and 2 fourth grade teachers at a school in Purwakarta. Data were collected using Tests, Interviews, and Documentation. Based on the results of the study, the ability of HOTS can still be applied. One student can achieve C5 ability (assessing), four students achieve C4 ability (analyzing), three students are still lacking in HOTS ability.
