Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tiga tujuan yaitu: 1) untuk memperoleh gambaran kondisi objektif kemampuan siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca, 2) untuk memperoleh gambaran kondisi objektif pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca permulaan bagi siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca dan 3) untuk mengetahui hasil program intervensi membaca permulaan seperti apa yang sesuai dengan tipe kesulitan membaca permulaan siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca kelas satu SD X kota Bandung. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari dua orang siswa kelas 1 SD X kota Bandung dan satu orang guru kelas 1 SD X kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah: tes membaca permulaan, observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan tiga langkah yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data atau display data, penarikan kesimpulan/ verifikasi. Hasil penelitian tentang kondisi objektif kemampuan siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum mampu mengidentifikasi semua huruf sehingga dalam melebur bunyi mengalami hambatan. Sedangkan hasil penelitian tentang kondisi objektif pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca permulaan bagi siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca yaitu ditemukannya satu jenis RPP yang digunakan oleh guru untuk semua siswa tanpa memperhatikan karakteristik siswa. Guru tidak memberikan perlakuan khusus kepada siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca sehingga kebutuhan belajar siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca tidak terakomodasi. Hasil penelitian ini tersusunnya produk program intervensi membaca permulaan yang diperuntukkan bagi siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca. Program intervensi ini merupakan hasil penelitian yang bersifat hipotetik. Bagi guru yang mempunyai siswa yang mengalami problema belajar membaca hendaknya bisa memberikan pembelajaran membaca yang efektif. Untuk mencapai pembelajaran yang efektif itu materi, metode, media dan waktu yang digunakan harus sesuai dengan kesulitan dan kebutuhan siswa. Kata Kunci: Program, intervensi, membaca permulaan, problema belajar This study has three objectives, The first objective of this research is obtained from the students’ ability who have problems learning to read, the second objective of this study obtained from the conditions of the implementation in learning of beginning reading for students who have problems in reading at this time and the third objective is find out the results of intervention program of beginning reading whether it is appropriate to the type of beginning reading difficulties for students who have problems in learning of reading at first grade of Bandung X Elementary School. To achieve these objectives, this study used descriptive qualitative approach. The subject of this research are consist of two students from the first grade of Bandung X Elementary School and a first grade teacher from Bandung X Elementary School. Data collection techniques used by researchers are: beginning reading tests, observations, interviews and documentation. The process in analyzing the data are carried out in three steps, there are consist of data reduction, data display, and conclusion/ verification. The results of the students ability who have problems learning in reading indicates that the student has not been able to identify all the letters, so, they get the difficulties in merging the sound. Whereas the results of the research on the implementation of the objective conditions of learning of beginning reading for students who have problems learning to read is found one type of lesson plans used by teachers to all students without regard to student characteristics. Teachers do not give preferential treatment to students who have problems in learning of reading, so, needs of the students who have problems in learning of reading is not accommodated. The results of this study are the formulation of intervention program of beginning reading product for students who have problems learning to read. This intervention program is the result of hypothetical research. For teachers who have students who have problems learning to read should be able to provide an effective learning to read. In order to achieve effective learning, the materials, methods, media and time used must comply with the difficulties and needs of students.
