Abstract

Dengan besarnya antusias generasi milenial belajar tari Jaipongan ini sudah jelas
bahwa tari Jaipongan masih eksis dikalangan milenial, terlihat pada
terselenggaranya Pasanggiri tari Jaipongan yang diikuti oleh banyak sanggar.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat minat dan motivasi generasi milenial belajar
tari Jaipongan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode
penelitian survey dengan menyebarkan kuesioner ke beberapa sample sanggar yang
ada di Bandung terdapat lima sanggar yang dituju untuk penelitian ini. Dengan
teknik rendom sampling dari semua populasi 168 menjadi 118 sampel yang
mengisi kuesioner mengenai minat dan motivasi generasi milenial belajar tari
Jaipongan, setelah dilakukan pengambilan data dengan kuesioner sebanyak 118
sampel dan diuji oleh validitas, reliabilitas dan expert judgment serta dianalisis
menggunakan ststistik deskriptif dan korelasi berganda. ditinjau dari data
keseluruhan kategori anak yang memiliki minat dengan data tertinggi sebanyak 85
anak (72,0%) dan terendah 33 anak (28,0%). Sedangkan Motivasi generasi milenial
belajar tari Jaipongan dapat dilihat dari data keseluruhan memilih motivasi dengan
data tertinggi sebanyak 113 anak (95,8%) dan terendah 5 anak (4,2%). Dengan
faktor yang mempengaruhinya minat dan motivasi, akan tetapi lebih merinci terlihat
pada sub indikatornya. Pada variable minat indikator perasaan senang dengan data
frekuensi 114 anak (96,6%). Dengan begitu memang indikator motivasi lebih tinggi
dibandingkan indikator minat dalam data keseluruhan, akan tetapi minat lebih
besar dari pada motivasi bila melihat dari indikator, yaitu indikator perasaan
senang.

With the enthusion of the millennial generation to learn Jaipongan dance it is clear
that Jaipongan dance still exists among millennials, seen in the implementation of
Pasanggiri Jaipongan dance followed by many sanggar. This research aims to look
at the interests and motivations of millennials learning Jaipongan dance. This
research was conducted with a quantitative approach, survey research method by
distributing questionnaires to several sanggar samples in Bandung there are five
sanggar intended for this research. With rendom sampling techniques from all 168
populations to 118 samples who filled out questionnaires about the interests and
motivations of millennials learning Jaipongan dance, After taking data with
questionnaires as many as 118 samples and tested by validity, reliability and expert
judgment and analyzed using descriptive ststistics and multiple correlations. Based
on the overall number of children with the highest interests, 85 children (72.0%)
and the lowest 33 children (28.0%). While the motivation of millennials learning
Jaipongan dance can be seen from the overall data choosing the highest motivation
as many as 113 children (95.8%) and the lowest 5 children (4.2%). With factors that
affect interest and motivation, but more detail is seen in the sub-indicators. On the
interest variable indicator was happy with the frequency data of 114 children
(96.6%). That way, the motivation indicator is higher than the interest indicator in
the overall data, but the interest is greater than the motivation when looking at the
indicator, which is an indicator of feeling happy.
