Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh adanya fenomena kekerasan disekolah. Tindakan kekerasan dipengaruhi oleh faktor lingkungan, keluarga, dan media. Salah satu media yang dimaksud adalah televisi. Setiap stasiun televisi menyajikan berbagai acara seperti tayangan kekerasan, sinetron, berita dan sebagainya. Tujuan penelitian yaitu memperoleh gambaran empiris hubungan kebiasaan menonton tayangan sinetron dengan perilaku bullying siswa SMP. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 15 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan dari kebiasaan menonton tayangan sinetron dengan perilaku bullying siswa. Rekomendasi penelitian diberikan kepada:a)guru bimbingan dan konseling untuk memberikan layanan informasi kepada siswa;b) berperan mengarahkan siswa melalui diskusi;c)serta peneliti selanjutnya untuk dapat mengembangkan penelitian dengan program bimbingan hipotetik yang telah dirancang. Abstract: This study is based on the phenomenon of violence in schools . Violence is influenced by environmental factors, family and the media. One of the most influence media is television. Every television station serving a variety of events such as violence shows, soap opera news and so on. The purpose of the research is to obtain and overview of empirical correlation between watching soap operas habit with student bullying in junior high school. Research conducted on the 8th grade student of SMP Negeri 15 Bandung 2013/2014 academic Year. The research approach use a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The results showed no significant correlation between watching soap operas habit with student bullying in junior high school. Research recommendation is given to: a)teacher guidance and counseling to provide information service to students, b)directing the students through discussion, c)as well as further research to develop research with the guidance of a hypothetical program that has been designed.
