Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V. Salah satu upaya yang diduga dapat memperbaiki keadaan tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh pedekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan pokok bahasan pecahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B-A. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah empat siswa. Data yang diperoleh disajikan dalam tabel dan grafik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bukti bahwa pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Melihat hasil yang diperoleh, Contextual Teaching and Learning dapat dijadikan alternatif yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas agar pembelajaran yang dilakukan menjadi lebih bemakna. Kata kunci: pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, sekolah dasar ----- ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving ability of class V students. One of the efforts that are suspected to improve the situation is to use contextual teaching and learning approaches. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of contextual teaching and learning approach to students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Research instruments used in the form of tests of students' mathematical problem-solving skills with fractional subjects. The research method used is Single Subject Research (SSR) design A-B-A. The subjects in the study numbered four students. The data obtained is presented in tables and graphs. Based on the results of the study, evidence was obtained that contextual teaching and learning approach has an influence on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of elementary school students in grade V. Looking at the results obtained, Contextual Teaching and Learning can be used as an alternative that can be used in the learning process in the classroom so that the learning done becomes more meaningful.
