Abstract
ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan membaca nyaring yang dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak usia 5-6 tahun serta mendeskripsikan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak usia 5-6 tahun dalam kegiatan membaca nyaring. Kemampuan bahasa ekspresif adalah kemampuan mengekspresikan kata-kata yang ada di dalam pikiran. Kegiatan membaca nyaring merupakan kegiatan yang dapat membuat anak berperan aktif dalam menanggapi, di saat itulah bahasa ekspresif anak muncul. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini, yakni seorang anak berusia 5-6 tahun dan ibunya selaku yang paling berperan dalam kegiatan membaca nyaring pada anak di Desa Kalijati Barat, Kecamatan Kalijati, Subang, Jawa Barat. Hal ini dilihat dari stimulasi-stimulasi yang diberikan ibu dalam kegiatan membaca nyaring dan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak dalam kegiatan membaca nyaring. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data Miles dan Huberman dengan metode penelitian kualitatif fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Berdasarkan wawancara diketahui bahwa ibu telah menerapkan kegiatan membaca nyaring sejak anak berada di dalam kandungan. Melalui hasil observasi diketahui bahwa anak telah mampu membaca nyaring sendiri sejak berusia 5.6 tahun. Meskipun begitu, ibu tetap membacakan nyaring setiap malam sebelum tidur pada anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses kegiatan membaca nyaring yang diterapkan ibu menggunakan langkah-langkah yang tepat, dan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak usia 5-6 tahun dalam kegiatan membaca nyaring memperlihatkan perkembangan yang baik. ----- ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe reading aloud activities that are used to develop expressive language skills of children aged 5-6 years and to describe expressive language skills of children aged 5-6 years in reading aloud activities. Expressive language ability is the ability to express the words that are in the mind. Reading aloud is an activity that can make children play an active role in responding, that's when children's expressive language appears. Participants in this study, namely a child aged 5-6 years and his mother as the most instrumental in reading aloud to children in West Kalijati Village, Kalijati District, Subang, West Java. This can be seen from the stimulations given by the mother in reading aloud activities and children's expressive language skills in reading aloud activities. This study uses data analysis techniques Miles and Huberman with phenomenological qualitative research methods. Collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on interviews, it is known that mothers have implemented reading aloud activities since the child was in the womb. Through observations, it is known that children have been able to read aloud on their own since the age of 5.6 years. Even so, mother still read aloud every night before going to bed to their children. The results showed that the process of reading aloud that was applied by the mother used the right steps, and the expressive language skills of children aged 5-6 years in reading aloud activities showed good development.
