Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas III di SDN 2 Munjul Jaya. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dokumentasi sebagai pendukung data di lapangan, wawancara dan observasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III 3 perempuan dan 2 laki-laki beserta dengan setiap orang tua. Hasil penelitian mengenai peran orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas III di SDN 2 Munjul Jaya adalah Peranan orang tua siswa yang berprestasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak, disini orang tua selalu memberikan dorongan (motivasi), membimbing anaknya saat belajar, selalu mendidik anaknya yang mencakup sikap moral dan tingkah laku anak di rumah maupun di sekolah, memberikan fasilitas yang dibutuhkan oleh anak dan memantau belajar anak, hal ini memudahkan anak terbuka saat memiliki kesulitan dalam belajar anak meminta pertolongan kepada orang tuanya dan cita-cita anak pun tercapai. Perana orang tua siwa yang kurang berprestasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa ini disebabkan kurangnya perhatian dan peduli dari orang tua, setiap anak memiliki tugas sekolah orang tua hanya menyuruh anaknya tanpa ada pengawasan dan bimbingan, orang tua memberikan sepunuhnya anak dalam belajar kepada sekolah dan setiap memberikan fasilitas kepada anaknya selalu di berikan tanpa adanya perhatikan anaknya menggunakan fasilitas itu. Upaya orang tua dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang berprestasi dan kurang berprestasi yaitu orang tua hadiah, pujian, perhatian, menyediakan fasilitas anak dan mengontrol dan mengontrol waktu belajar anak. Kata kunci: Siswa, Peran Orang Tua, Motivasi Belajar, Prestasi ----- This study aims to determine the role of parents in increasing learning motivation in third grade students at SDN 2 Munjul Jaya. This research belongs to the type of descriptive qualitative research, using documentation data collection techniques to support data in the field, interviews and observations. The subjects of this study were 3rd grade students, 3 girls and 2 boys along with their parents. The results of the study on the role of parents in increasing the learning motivation of third grade students at SDN 2 Munjul Jaya is the role of parents of students who excel in increasing children's learning motivation, here parents always provide encouragement (motivation), guide their children while studying, always educate their children who includes moral attitudes and behavior of children at home and at school, providing facilities needed by children and monitoring children's learning, this makes it easier for children to be open when they have difficulties in learning, children ask for help from their parents and children's goals are achieved. The role of underachieving parents in increasing student learning motivation is due to a lack of attention and care from parents, every child has a school assignment, parents only order their children without supervision and guidance, parents give all their children in learning to school and every time they give facilities to their children are always provided without paying attention to their children using the facilities. The efforts of parents in increasing the learning motivation of students who excel and those who lack achievement are parents giving gifts, praise, attention, providing children's facilities and controlling and monitoring children's learning time.
