Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis STEAM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran dan menganalisis terkait kemampuan aplikasi mahasiswa calon guru PAUD pada topik STEAM-PBL sebelum dan sesudah penerapan peer teaching. Metode yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimen berdesain one group pre-test post-test design, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 60 mahasiswa calon guru PAUD UPI Purwakarta. Instrumen penelitian ini berbentuk tes yang diberikan melalui google form, adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) kemampuan aplikasi mahasiswa sebelum perlakuan tergolong rendah, terlihat dari perolehan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 25,10; 2) kemampuan aplikasi mahasiswa setelah perlakuan meningkat dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata post-test menjadi 62,27; 3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan aplikasi mahasiswa antara sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti peer teaching pada perkuliahan Pembelajaran Sains, terilihat dari perolehan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,49 (sedang), dan hasil uji Wilcoxon dengan Sig. (2-tailed) < α 0,05 yang berarti H1 diterima. ----- This research is motivated by the difficulties of teachers in implementing STEAM-based learning. This study aims to obtain an overview and analyze the application capabilities of prospective PAUD teacher students on the STEAM-PBL topic before and after the application of peer teaching. The method used is a pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design, with a research sample of 60 prospective PAUD UPI Purwakarta teacher students. This research instrument is in the form of a test given via google form, while the data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. The results obtained from this study are: 1) the application ability of students before treatment is low, it can be seen from the acquisition of an average pre-test score of 25.10; 2) students' application ability after treatment increased with the post-test average score being 62.27; 3) there is a significant difference in students' application abilities between before and after participating in peer teaching in Science Learning lectures, as seen from the average N-Gain score of 0.49 (medium), and the results of the Wilcoxon test with Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 which means H1 is accepted.
