Abstract
Pada keterampilan menulis, siswa diajarkan menulis karangan deskripsi. Pada karangan deskripsi masih ditemukan kesalahan penggunaan preposisi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menjelaskan serta menguraikan beberapa bagian kesalahan penggunaan preposisi dalam karangan deskripsi siswa kelas V di SD. Metode Penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan dokumentasi dan interview. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dan dideskripsikan. Hasil penelitian kesalahan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa melakukan kesalahan pada dua jenis bentuk kesalahan penggunaan preposisi yaitu kesalahan penggunaan preposisi yang sering digunakan oleh siswa yakni pada preposisi di yaitu (35%). Berikutnya kesalahan penggunaaan preposisi ke (30%). Kemudian terdapat kesalahan penggunan preposisi pada (14%). Selanjutnya kesalahan penggunaan preposisi disana (11%). Lalu pada penggunaan preposisi kepada (2%). Penggunaan preposisi untuk (4%). Adapun jenis kesalahan yaitu preposisi tunggal (70%) dan preposisi majemuk (29%). Dan kategori kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa yaitu penghilangan (34%), penambahan tidak terdapat kesalahan, salah susun (62%), dan salah formasi (6%). Faktor kesalahan penyebab berbahasa yang sering ditemukan pada siswa yaitu faktor interlingual (11%) dan faktor intralingual (88%) dari total kesalahan penggunaan preposisi pada karangan deskripsi siswa kelas V di SD. ----- In writing skills, students are taught to write descriptive essays. In the description essay, there are still errors in the use of prepositions. This study has a purpose, namely to explain and describe some parts of the errors in the use of prepositions in descriptive essays for fifth grade students in elementary school. This research has a method that is descriptive method and qualitative approach. Data collection techniques carried out by documentation and interviews. The data obtained were then analyzed and described. The results of this error research indicate that students make mistakes in two types of errors in the use of prepositions, namely errors in the use of prepositions that are often used by students, namely in the preposition at (35%). Next is the error in using the preposition to (30%). Furthermore, there is an error in the use of prepositions at (14%). Furthermore, there are errors in the use of prepositions (11%). Next use the preposition to (2%). Furthermore, the use of the preposition for (4%). The types of errors are single prepositions (70%) and compound prepositions (29%). And the categories of errors made by students were omission (34%), addition there were no errors, incorrect arrangement (62%), and incorrect formation (6%). The factors that cause language errors that are often found in students are interlingual factors (11%) and intralingual factors (88%) of the total errors in the use of prepositions in descriptive essays for fifth grade students in elementary school.
