Abstract

Kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa sangatlah penting guna menunjang hasil pembelajaran, tidak hanya pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia tetapi pada semua mata pelajaran. Untuk mengukur tingkat membaca pemahaman siswa dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teks narasi sebagai medianya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan (1) mengetahui gambaran kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dalam membaca teks narasi; (2) mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab kesulitan membaca pemahaman teks narasi siswa; (3) mengidentifikasi upaya yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi kesulitas membaca pemahaman teks narasi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN 2 Cipaisan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dari ketiga indikator menghasilkan rata-rata persentase sebesar 70,1% yang masuk ke dalam kategori baik; (2) faktor penyebab kesulitan membaca pemahaman teks narasi yaitu kemampuan siswa yang berbeda-beda, sekolah kurang memfasilitasi siswa, dan kurangnya dukungan serta motivasi dari orang tua; (3) upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu membiasakan budaya literasi, memfasilitasi siswa dalam membaca pemahaman, dan meningkatkan kualitas membaca siswa. ----- It is critical to be able to read and understand students' reading comprehension in order to improve learning outcomes in all areas, not only in Indonesian. To measure the level of reading comprehension of students in this study used narrative text as the medium. This research was conducted with the objectives of (1) knowing the description of students' reading comprehension skills in reading narrative texts; (2) identify factors that contribute to students' reading comprehension difficulties in narrative texts; and (3) identify strategies for overcoming reading comprehension difficulties in narrative texts. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The research participants were fifth grade students at SDN 2 Cipaisan. The results of this research are (1) the students' reading comprehension ability of the three indicators produces an average percentage of 70.1% which is in the good category; (2) the factors that cause difficulties in reading comprehension of narrative texts are the different abilities of students, the school does not facilitate students, and the lack of support and motivation from parents; (3) efforts that can be made include familiarizing the literacy culture, assisting students in reading comprehension, and improving students' reading quality.
