Abstract

Abstrak: Sekolah merupakan tempat dimana pembentukan karakter terjadi. Perlu adanya upaya penyadaran dilakukan guru agar dapat mengatasi segala permasalahan lingkungan, teutama yang berhubungan langsung dengan keseharian siswa. Beberapa hal yang dapat dilakukan untuk menyelamatkan lingkungan harus dimulai dari hal yang kecil, seperti membelajarkan peserta didik di sekolah dasar. Pada kenyataannya sikap menghargai dan sadar akan lingkungan belum terlihat jelas di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan. Hal ini terlihat dari perilaku siswa yang masih belum memahami tentang lingkungan dan cenderung berprilaku tidak terpuji. Hal ini mengindikasikan masih redahnya kompetensi ecoliteracy yang dimiliki lembaga pendidikan/ sekolah. Guru sebagai seorang pendidik yang membentuk pengetahuan serta mental siswa haruslah memiliki karakter, pengetahuan dan keahlian yang yang dapat membentuk perilaku siswa agar sadar terhadap permasalahan lingkungan. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana Tingkat Kompetensi Ecoliteracy Guru SD Di Kecamatan Cimanggung?. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik survei. Teknik ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan Tingkat kompetensi ecoliteracy guru sekolah dasar di kecamatan Cimanggung. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Secara umum data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner menunjukan tingkat kompetensi ecoliteracy guru sekolah dasar di kecamatan Cimanggung berada dalam rentang 40%-50%, pada kategori sedang. Artinya masih ada sebagian guru SD di Cimanggung yang kurang memahami dan menguasai tentang ecoliteracy. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kompetensi ecoliteracy guru belum maksimal diterapkan di sekolah, di antaranya: kurangnya sarana dan prasarana jadi dalam implementasinya sulit untuk dilakukan di lingkungan sekolah, fokus hanya hal besar sehingga hal kecil jadi terabaikan, belum ratanya pendidikan, pengetahuan dan kesadaran ekologi sehingga agak sulit untuk menjadikannya sebagai kebiasaan, belum konsistennya tindakan, belum adanya program sekolah yang mendukung mengenai lingkungan hidup. There needs to be awareness efforts made by teachers so that they can overcome all environmental problems, especially those that are directly related to the daily lives of students. Some things that can be done to save the environment must start from small things, such as teaching students in elementary schools. In fact, the attitude of respect and awareness of the environment has not been clearly seen in educational institutions. This can be seen from the behavior of students who still do not understand about the environment and tend to behave inappropriately. This indicates that the ecoliteracy competence of educational institutions/schools is still low. The teacher as an educator who shapes the knowledge and mentality of students must have character, knowledge and expertise that can shape student behavior so that they are aware of environmental problems. The formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) What is the Ecoliteracy Competency Level of Elementary School Teachers in Cimanggung District?. This study uses a survey technique. This technique is used to describe the level of ecoliteracy competence of elementary school teachers in Cimanggung sub-district. The results of this study are: 1) In general, the data obtained from the results of data collection using a questionnaire shows the level of ecoliteracy competence of elementary school teachers in Cimanggung sub-district is in the range of 40%-50%, in the medium category. This means that there are still some elementary school teachers in Cimanggung who do not understand and master ecoliteracy. Factors that affect teacher ecoliteracy competence have not been maximally implemented in schools, including: lack of facilities and infrastructure so that in its implementation it is difficult to do in the school environment, focus on only big things so that small things are neglected, education is not evenly distributed, knowledge and ecological awareness are a bit difficult. to make it a habit, there are no consistent actions, there is no school program that supports the environment.
