Abstract
Kata Kunci: RADEC, Augmented Reality (AR), Penguasaan Konsep, Kreativitas, Hidrokarbon dan Minyak Bumi ABSTRACT Students' lack of concept mastery and creativity is a serious issue that teachers face today. Therefore, this study intends to improve concept mastery and build students’ creativity in hydrocarbons and petroleum subject matter by employing the Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-and-Create (RADEC) methodology with augmented reality (AR) support. This study was carried out in one of the Islamic High School in Bogor City, with 25 students from class XI science participating in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The online research activities are undertaken using google meet, google classroom, and whatsApp. The AR technology employed is integrated with books as a source of student reading and assembler education apps. A quasi-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest research design was adopted. The research tools employed comprise five tools: the observation sheet for model implementation, the pre-test post-test, creativity assessment sheet, questionnaires and interviews. The results show that the RADEC models supported by AR technology can enhance students' mastery in the medium category and (N-gain = 0,64) and their overall creativity in the good category (an average of 86%). It is suggested for other chemistry teachers develop this approach in future research. Keywords: RADEC, Augmented Reality (AR), Concept Mastery, Creativity, Hydrocarbons and Petroleum
