Abstract

ABSTRAK Peranan guru dalam kegiatan pembelajaran amat berpengaruh untuk menentukan keberhasilan, ada banyak lagi faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja guru diantaranya yaitu tingkat pendidikan dan pengalaman mengajar, semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan tinggi maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat kompetensi profesionalnya, demikian juga halnya dengan pengalaman mengajar tentunya akan lebih menguasai bidang yang diperlukan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh tingkat pendidikan dan pengalaman mengajar terhadap kompetensi profesional guru SD di kabupaten Purwakarta. Untuk mencapai tujuan diatas, digunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif berjenis deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa angket dan wawancara. Pengujian instrumen menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, sedangkan metode analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menyatakan bahwa: (1) tingkat pendidikan positif signifikan terhadap kompetensi profesional guru secara parsial sebesar 4,175. (2) pengalaman mengajar berpengaruh positif terhadap kompetensi profesional guru secara parsial sebesar 12,552. (3) secara simultan kedua variabel bebas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel terikat dengan menggunakan uji F menghasilkan nilai F hitung 154,110 > F tabel 2,27. Adapun nilai R Square 0,887 (88,7%), dan sisanya 11,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh tingkat pendidikan dan pengalam mengajar terhadap kompetensi profesional guru. Kata Kunci: Tingkat Pendidikan, Pengalaman Mengajar, Kompetensi Profesional Guru. ----- ABSTRACT The teacher's role in learning activities is very influential to determine success, there aremany more factors that affect teacher performance including the level of education and teaching experience, the higher the level of higher education, the higher the level of professional competence, as well as teaching experience of course will master the fields needed in teaching and learning activities. The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of education level and teaching experience on the professional competence of elementary school teachers in Purwakarta district. To achieve the above objectives, a descriptive quantitative research approach is used. The instruments used are in the form of questionnaires and interviews. Testing the instrument using validity and reliability tests, while the data analysis method uses multiple linear regression. The results of the research that have been carried out state that: (1) the level of education is positively significant to the professional competence of teachers partially by 4.175. (2) teaching experience has a positive effect on the professional competence of teachers partially by 12,552. (3) simultaneously the two independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable by using the F test to produce a calculated F value of 154.110 > F table 2.27. The R Square value is 0.887 (88.7%), and the remaining 11.3% is influenced by other variables. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the level of education and teaching experience on the professional competence of teachers.
