Abstract

ANALISIS KESULITAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA TENTANG VOLUME BANGUN RUANG SELAMA PANDEMI COVID-19 (Studi Kasus Di Siswa Kelas V Di Salah Satu SD Kabupaten Purwakarta) ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh munculnya kesulitan belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran matematika di masa pandemi Covid-19 ini. Kesulitan belajar merupakan hambatan dalam proses belajar. Mengingat pelajaran matematika merupakan pelajaran yang cukup penting, maka diperlukan untuk menganalisis kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika selama pandemi Covid-19 khusunya pada materi bangun ruang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesulitan siswa dalam pelajaran matematika khusunya pada materi volume bangun ruang. Selain mendeskripsikan tujuan lainnya yaitu mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar, serta upaya apa saja yang harus dilakukan untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan jenis studi kasus. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan disalah satu SDN Negeri di kota Purwakarta Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah enam orang siswa kelas V, dengan kategori penggelompokkan kesulitan belajar yang berbeda-beda, 1 orang dengan kesulitan belajar tinggi, 2 orang kesulitan sedang, dan 3 orang berkesulitan belajar rendah. Penelitian ini dikaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2021. Teknik Pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, tes tulis untuk mengetahui kesulitan belajar siswa dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan, pertama subjek dengan kategori tinggi memiliki kemampuan matematika yang baik. Kedua subjek dengan kategori sedang memiliki kemampuan matematis yang baik, namun tetap harus ditingkatkan lagi. Ketiga subjek dengan kategori rendah memiliki kemampuan matematika yang kurang karena kurangnya pemahaman pada materi yang ada pada matematika, sehingga subjek harus meningkatkan lagi kemampuan matematikanya. Kata kunci : Analisis Kesulitan Siswa, Matematika, Volume Bangun Ruang, Covid-19. ----- ANALYSIS OF THE DIFFICULTY OF LEARNING MATHEMATICS ABOUT THE VOLUME OF BUILDING ROOM DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the emergence of learning difficulties for fifth grade students in mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic. learning is an obstacle in the learning process. considering that mathematics is a fairly important lesson, it is necessary to analyze the difficulties experienced by students in learning mathematics during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in building materials. This study aims to describe the difficulties of students in mathematics, especially in the volume of geometric material. In addition to explaining the other objectives, namely knowing the factors that influence learning difficulties, as well as what efforts must be made to overcome student learning difficulties. This research is a qualitative research that uses a case study type. The subjects of this study were six fifth grade students, with different categories of grouping learning difficulties, 1 person with high learning difficulty, 2 people with low learning difficulty, and 3 people with low learning difficulty. This research was conducted in June 2021. The data collection techniques used were interviews, written tests to determine student learning difficulties and documentation. Based on the results of the study, the first subject in the high category had good mathematical abilities. Both subjects in the medium category have good mathematical abilities, but still need to be improved. The third subject in the low category has less mathematical ability due to a lack of understanding of the material in mathematics, so the subject must improve his mathematical ability again.
