Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pemahaman akuntan publik terhadap minat mahasiswa akuntansi UPI dalam menjadi akuntan publik. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen jenis true experiment post test only group control design. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode probability sampling menggunakan teknik cluster sampling dan diperoleh sampel pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa akuntansi tingkat awal angkatan 2019 dan mahasiswa akuntansi angkatan 2016 . Data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh dari kuesioner. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan statistik dengan, bantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengolahan data dengan menggunakan uji independent sample t test data post-test kelas eksperimen dan kontrol menunjukan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,044 yang artinya lebih kecil dari 0,05. Sesuai dasar pengambilan keputusan dalam uji independent sample t test, jika nilai sig.(2-tailed) < 0,05 maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak atau dengan kata lain terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dalam peningkatan minat mahasiswa tingkat awal UPI menjadi akuntan publik. Dengan demikian, pemberian pemahaman akuntan publik efektif dalam meningkatkan minat mahasiswa Akuntansi UPI. This study aims to determine the effect of providing an understanding of public accountants on the interest of accounting students at UPI to become public accountants. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with an experimental method of true experiment type post test only group control design. The sampling method used is the probability sampling method using the cluster sampling technique and the samples obtained in this study were early-level accounting students, class of 2019 and accounting students of class 2016. The data used are primary data obtained from questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive and statistical analysis with the help of the SPSS version 23 application. The results showed that the data processing using the independent sample t test, the post-test data for the experimental and control classes showed sig values. (2-tailed) of 0.044 which means it is smaller than 0.05. According to the basis of decision making in the independent sample t test, if the value of sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected or in other words there is a significant difference between the experimental and control classes in increasing interest in early UPI students. become a public accountant. Thus, providing an understanding of public accounting is effective in increasing the interest of UPI Accounting students.
