Abstract
The ability of individuals to adapt positively to adverse conditions and risk become a major concern for mental health. Through the ability of resilience, an individual remain firm after the difficulty and the arrival of factors causing trauma. The purpose of this study is to uncover the concept of the resilience of the Qur‘anic perspective that is used for self�management in fostering an optimistic character.The results of the study show that the Qur‘anic perspective on resilience is contained in the concept of istirja' (return to Allah) and patient in the face of the life test. Building an optimistic character in the face of trauma risk factors can be done by understanding and implementing the concept of istirja 'and patient in life correctly.
