Abstract

ABSTRAK DAMPAK PENERAPAN METODE “TALKING STICK” DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA Irma Ayu Ramadhani Program Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, kampus Daerah Serang, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Hasil belajar sangat penting dalam suatu proses aktivitas belajar mengajar agar dapat berperan serta dalam menyukseskan proses pembelajaran. Salah satu pengaruh dari motivasi belajar adalah hasil belajar, jika motivasi untuk belajar yang dimiliki tinggi maka hasil belajar akan lebih memuaskan. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mencari tahu Dampak Penerapan Metode “Talking Stick” Dalam Pembelajaran IPS Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa. Teori yang digunakan yaitu Edger Dale dalam Dimyati (2009: 45), “belajar yang baik adalah belajar melalui pengalaman langsung”. Kurniasih (2015: 82) bahwa “Cooperative learning tipe talking stick sangat cocok diterapkan bagi siswa SD. Selain untuk melatih berbicara, model pembelajaran ini akan menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan membuat siswa lebih aktif”. Pendekatan kualitatif merupakan pendekatan yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Sumber data yang dipakai pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan artikel dari jurnal dan skripsi sebelumnya yang sejalan dengan masalah yang hendak diteliti. Metode yang dipakai adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan, yakni melalui pengumpulan, penyusunan, serta analisis data yang akan dipelajari. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah kajian literatur kemudian dianalisis secara induktif. Berdasarkan data penelitian, didapatkan hasil mengenai bagaimana Dampak Penerapan Metode “Talking Stick” Dalam Pembelajaran IPS Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa dianalisis dalam bentuk studi literatur. Hasil belajar yang memuaskan mampu dicapai menggunakan cara yaitu menumbuhkan motivasi belajar yang akan dicapai dengan baik. Demikian peningkatan yang terjadi dalam setiap hasil kajian literatur yang telah peneliti kumpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Talking Stick dalam proses pembelajaran IPS merupakan salah satu cara yang dilakukan guru dalam pencapaian keberhasilan belajar siswa untuk memperoleh nilai standar Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang sudah ditetapkan sekolah masing-masing. This study aims to find out the impact of the application of the "Talking Stick" method in social studies learning to improve student learning outcomes The theory used by Edger Dale in Dimyati (2009: 45), "good learning is learning through direct experience". Kurniasih (2015: 82) states that "The talking stick type cooperative learning is very suitable for elementary students. In addition to practicing speaking, this learning model will create a pleasant learning atmosphere and make students active ”. Sources of data used in this study were carried out by collecting articles from journals and previous theses that were in line with the problems to be studied. The qualitative approach is the approach used by researchers in conducting this research. The method used is the library research method, namely through the collection, preparation, and analysis of the data to be studied. The research technique used by the researcher was literature review and then analyzed inductively. Based on the research data, the results showed how the impact of the application of the "Talking Stick" method in social studies learning to improve student learning outcomes was analyzed in the form of a literature study. Satisfactory learning outcomes can be achieved using methods that are fostering learning motivation that will be achieved well. Thus the increase that occurs in each of the literature review results that researchers have collected is that the application of the Talking Stick method in the social studies learning process is one of the ways that teachers achieve student learning success to obtain a standard value of the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) that has been set by each school respectively.
