Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi siswa mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler karate di SMP Se-Kecamatan Banjaran, mengetahui perbandingan motivasi yang dimiliki pada siswa puta dan putri serta berdasarkan dimensinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik survey. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP di Kecamatan Banjaran yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler karate dan Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 80 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa skala motivasi olahraga yang mengadopsi dari jurnal yang berjudul “French adaption and validation of the Sport Motivation Scale-II (Echelle de Motivation dan lens Sports-II)” oleh (Pelletier et al., 2017). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Analisis Deskriptif, Independent sampel t-test, One-way Anova. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pengolahan data bahwa nilai gambaran motivasi siswa termasuk kedalam kategori sedang dengan hasil 55 orang (69%) sedangkan perbandingan motivasi siswa putra dan putri diporoleh nilai Sig= 0,58 > 0,05 maka Ho diterima dan H1 ditolak menjelaskan bahwa tidak dapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi yang dimiliki siswa putra dan putri lalu perbandingan motivasi intrinsik, motivasi ekstrinsik dan amotivasi diperoleh nilai Sig= 0,000 < 0,05 Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima menjelaskan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi intrinsik, motivasi ekstrinsik dan amotivasi. This study aims to determine the description of students' motivation to participate in extracurricular karate activities in Junior High School of Banjaran District, to determine the comparison of the motivation of male and female students based on their dimensions. This research uses descriptive quantitative research methods with survey techniques. The population used in this study was junior high school students in Banjaran District who took part in extracurricular karate activities and the sample used was 80 students using Purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study is a sports motivation scale that adopts a journal entitled "French adaptation and validation of the Sport Motivation Scale-II (Echelle de Motivation and Sports-II lens)" by (Pelletier et al., 2017). The data analysis technique used in this study is Descriptive Analysis, Independent sample t-test, One-way Anova. Based on the results of data analysis and processing, the value of the description of students’ motivation is included in the medium category with the results of 55 people (69%) While the comparison of male and female students’ motivation was obtained by the value of Sig = 0.58> 0.05, so Ho was accepted and H1 was rejected, explaining that there was no significant difference between the motivation of male and female students then the comparison of intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation and amotivation with the value of Sig = 0.000 <0.05 Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted which explains that there is a significant difference between intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation and amotivation.
