Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan kajian psikologi sastra yang meneliti mengenai tuturan emosional yang dituturkan oleh salah satu tokoh di dalam novel berjudul The Vegetarian ‘채식주의자’ (chaesikjueuija) karya Han Kang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis tuturan emosi yang terdapat di dalam novel The Vegetarian, serta mencari tahu penyebab terjadinya tuturan tersebut berdasarkan teori Freud, id, ego dan superego. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena masih kurangnya penelitian mengenai tuturan emosional dengan menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Ada tiga teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu teknik studi pustaka, teknik simak dan teknik catat. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Hude (2006) dan Minderop (2010) untuk mengklasifikasikan tuturan berdasarkan jenisnya, dan teori Freud untuk mencari tahu penyebab terjadinya tuturan tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat 38 tuturan yang mengandung emosi yang dituturkan oleh suami Kim Yeonghye, di antaranya tuturan emosi marah, senang, sedih, kaget, heran, takut, rasa bersalah dan kebencian. Dan penyebab terjadinya tuturan tersebut paling banyak dilatarbelakangi oleh dorongan Id. Dari 38 tuturan emosi, terdapat 18 tuturan emosional yang dilatarbelakangi oleh dorongan Id. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa suami Kim Yeonghye paling banyak menuturkan tuturan emosi heran, marah, dan rasa bersalah, dengan Ego dan Superego yang tidak mampu menyeimbangkan Id. Kata kunci: bahasa korea, novel, psikologi sastra, tuturan emosional ABSTRACT This research examines the emotional speech that spoken by one of the characters in the novel entitled ‘The Vegetarian’ by Han Kang through studies of psychology. The purpose of this research is to determine the types of emotional speech contained in the novel ‘The Vegetarian’, and also to discover the causes of the speech based on Freud's theory, id, ego and superego. This research was conducted due to the lack of research on emotional speech using psychology of literature studies in Indonesia. The research method in this study used descriptive qualitative method. There are three data collection techniques used in this research, namely the literature study technique, the observation technique and the note taking technique. This study uses the theory of Hude (2006) and Minderop (2010) to classify speech based on its type, and Freud's theory to elaborate the cause of the speech. The results of the analysis show that there are 38 emotional speech spoken by Kim Yeonghye's husband, including emotional speeches of anger, joy, sadness, shock, surprise, fear, guilt, and hatred. The cause of the speech was mostly motivated by Id's encouragement. Among 38 emotional speech, there are 18 emotional speech that motivated by Id. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that Kim Yeonghye's husband mostly spoke about emotions of wonder, anger, and guilt, with Ego and Superego unable to balance Id.
