Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran group investigation, untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis pada tingkat motivasi belajar kuat, sedang, dan lemah, dan interaksi antara metode group investigation dengan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x3. Adapun alat pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan angket motivasi belajar. Analisis data menggunakan inferensial parametris Two Way ANOVA SPSS Versi 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan metode group investigation dan metode ceramah, 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada tingkat motivasi belajar, 3) Terdapat interaksi metode group investigation dengan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. The research was supported by the low critical skills of students. This study was conducted aims to improve the capacity to think critical by using the method learning group investigation , to know the influence of the capacity to think critical of the motivation to study high level , medium , and low , and interaction between method group investigation with the motivation to study on ability to think critically students. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a 2x3 factorial design. The data collection tools used a critical thinking ability test and learning motivation questionnaire. Data analysis used inferential parametric Two Way ANOVA SPSS Version 23. The result showed that : 1) there were differences in the ability to think critically students in a group on a conventional and methods of investigation, 2) There were differences critical thinking skills at the level of motivation to learn, 3) There are interaction method group investigation with the motivation to study on ability to think critically students.
