Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya fakta bahwa kurangnya model pembelajaran yang memotivasi dan memudahkan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengembangkan salah satu model pembelajaran, yaitu model multisensori berbantuan infografis animasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar terciptanya model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan proses belajar siswa dan menyesuaikan cara mengajar guru. Penelitian ini membahas tiga pembahasan, yaitu: (1) profil atau keadaan awal pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi; (2) desain pengembangan model multisensori berbantuan infografis animasi dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi; (3) implementasi pengembangan model multisensori berbantuan infografis animasi dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi, dan (4) respons terhadap model multisensori berbantuan infografis animasi dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Adapun langkah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), yaitu studi pendahuluan (studi pustaka dan lapangan), pengembangan (penyusunan draf, uji coba terbatas, revisi uji coba terbatas, uji coba lebih luas, revisi uji coba lebih luas), dan pengujian (keefektifan draf akhir. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket, observasi, dan hasil tes. Penelitian ini juga melakukan uji t untuk mengetahui efektif atau tidaknya model multisensori berbantuan infografis animasi. Berdasarkan uji t, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan model multisensori berbantuan infografis animasi efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Kata kunci: model multisensori, infografis animasi, menulis, teks eksplanasi. This research is conducted due to the fact that there is a lack of learning models that motivate and facilitate students in learning to write explanatory text. Therefore, this research develops one learning model which is called the infographic animation assisted learning model. This research aims to create a learning model that can help the teacher to adapt the teaching method with the student's needs in learning process. This study discusses four aspects, they are: (1) the profile or initial state of students when learning to write explanatory texts; (2) the design of infografic animation assisted multisensory model in learning to write explanatory text; (3) the implementation of infografic animation assisted multisensory model in learning to write explanatory text; and (4) the student's response of infografic animation assisted multisensory model in learning to write explanatory text. The research method used is research and development (R&D) method. The research steps are: preliminary studies (literature and field studies), development (drafting, limited trials, limited trial revisions, wider trials, wider revision trials), and testing (final draft effectiveness). The data collection technique is using questionnaire, observation, and test results. This study also conducted a t-test to determine the effectiveness of the model. Based on the t-test, this study showed that the infografic animation assisted multisensory model is effective to be used in learning to write an explanation text.
