Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran menulis laporan ilmiah di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) belum berkembang dengan baik karena belum mampu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis laporan ilmiah. Peserta didik masih merasa kesulitan dalam memahami isi laporan ilmiah dan menganalisis permasalahan yang dibahas dan menuangkannya menjadi laporan ilmiah. Selain itu, laporan ilmiah yang ditulis oleh peserta didik yang masih terlihat menyalin tempel karya tulis yang sudah ada. Peserta didik harus dilatih untuk mengamati fenomena-fenomena alam/sosial yang terjadi di sekitar dan mengasah kemampuan analitis dan kritis mereka melalui pemanfaatan media atau sumber belajar yang dapat mempermudah mereka dalam proses menemukan informasi-informasi yang penting serta dapat dijadikan bahan untuk menulis laporan Ilmiah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu adanya model pembelajaran menulis yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis laporan ilmiah peserta didik. Peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok dan model pembelajaran multimodal untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif peserta didik sehingga lebih mudah memahami teks laporan ilmiah, mudah memperoleh informasi dan data yang akan digunakan untuk menulis laporan ilmiah, serta dapat menumbuhkembangkan jiwa kooperatif peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dibahas dalam kelompoknya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) Dick, Carey, dan Carey yang mencakup sepuluh tahapan. Uji Kelayakan model pembelajaran dilakukan kepada 7 orang ahli dan 7 pendidik bahasa Indonesia. Hasil analisis respon dan penilaian para ahli menunjukkan bahwa model investigasi kelompok berbasis multimodal sangat sesuai untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis laporan ilmiah dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis laporan ilmiah peserta didik kelas VII SMP. Kata Kunci: menulis laporan ilmiah, model investigasi kelompok, multimodal ABSTRACT THE DEVELOPMENT OF MULTIMODAL-BASED GROUP INVESTIGATION MODELS FOR SCIENTIFIC REPORT WRITING Nurhasanah Widianingsih NIM 1706903 Learning activities to write scientific reports in junior high schools (SMP) have not been well developed because they have not been able to improve the ability of students to write scientific reports. Students still find it difficult to understand the contents of scientific reports and analyze the problems discussed and pour them into scientific reports. In addition, scientific reports written by students who are still seen copying past written papers. Students should be trained to observe natural or social phenomena that occur around and hone their analytical and critical abilities through the use of media or learning resources that can facilitate them in the process of finding important information and can be used as material for writing scientific reports. Based on this, it is necessary to have an effective writing learning model to improve student's scientific report writing skills. Researcher use group investigation learning models and multimodal learning models to improve student's critical and creative thinking skills so that it is easier to understand the text of scientific reports, easily obtain information and data that will be used to write scientific reports, and can foster cooperative spirit of students in solving problems which was discussed in the group. This research uses the Dick, Carey and Carey research and development (R&D) method which includes ten stages. The Feasibility Test of the learning model was conducted on 7 experts and 7 Indonesian language educators. Result of response analysis and expert judgment show that multimodal-based group investigation models are very suitable for use in learning to write scientific reports and are able to improve the ability to write scientific reports for grade VII students of junior high school.
