Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Hal ini disebabkan pembelajaran masih didominasi oleh guru sehingga siswa kurang untuk dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikirnya. Karena kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan suatu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa pada abad 21 ini, oleh karena itu seorang guru perlu untuk mengembangkannya dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model Project Based Learning untuk menumbuhkan berpikir kreatif, perencanaan Project Based Learning; strategi pelaksanaan Project Based Learning, dan solusi atas kendala dari pengembangan berpikir kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa 1) penerapan model Project Based Learning sudah dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, hal ini bisa dilihat dari hasil projek yang telah dikerjakannya; 2) perencanaan dalam menerapkan model Project Based Learning telah disusun dengan baik dan dapat mengembangkan berpikir kreatif siswa; 3) proses pelaksanaan Project Based Learning dilaksanakan sesuai dengan sintaks dari model Project Based Learning itu sendiri yang dimulai dari pertanyaan mendasar sampai dengan mengevaluasi pengalaman; 4) kendala yang dihadapi diantaranya dalam pengelolaan kelas, perencanaan waktu pembelajaran, siswa kurang dapat menerima maksud dan tujuan yang akan disampaikan, dan siswa perlu diberikan gambaran terlebih dahulu dari contoh projek yang akan dikerjakannya. Kata Kunci: Project Based Learning, Berpikir Kreatif This research is motivated by the lack of creative thinking skills of students in social studies learning. This is because learning is still dominated by teachers. Therefore, students are less able to develop their thinking skills. Because the ability to think creatively is an ability that students must have in the 21st century, therefore a teacher needs to develop it in the learning process. This research aims at describing the Project Based Learning model to encourage creative thinking, the planning of Project Based Learning, the implementation strategies of Project Based Learning, and the solutions to obstacles in developing creative thinking. The research method used in this research is qualitative using descriptive methods. The data were collected through interviews and documentation studies. Based on the research results, it could be seen that 1) the implementation of the Project Based Learning model had been able to develop students’ creative thinking skills, which could be seen from the results of the projects they had done; 2) the planning in implementing the Project Based Learning model had been well prepared and could develop students’ creative thinking; 3) the process of implementing the Project Based Learning was carried out in accordance with the syntax of the Project Based Learning model itself, starting from asking basic questions to evaluating experiences; 4) The obstacles faced were class management, planning learning time, students who were not able to fathom the aims and objectives to be conveyed, and students who needed to be given an overview of the example projects they were going to work on.
