Abstract

Abstrak- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui concept image matematikawan, guru, siswa, penyebab concept image yang dimiliki oleh siswa, dan perbedaan antara concept image matematikawan, guru, dan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi hermeneutik, penelitian dilakukan dengan memberikan tes concept image siswa pada topik persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel, memberikan angket tentang materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel. Selanjutnya concept image siswa akan dibandingkan dengan concept image guru dan concept image matematikawan. Subjek penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah siswa MTs yang sudah mempelajari topik persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa ditemukan perbedaan yang cukup jauh antara concept image matematikawan dan concept image guru, perbedaan yang sangat jauh antara concept image guru dan concept image siswa, dan perbedaan yang sangat jauh antara concept image matematikawan dan concept image siswa. Selain itu, diperoleh empat hal penting yang perlu dipahami seseorang pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel menurut matematikawan dan 16 macam concept image siswa pada topik persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier satu variabel dengan rincian delapan macam concept image siswa berada pada level instrumental, enam macam berada pada level incipient, dan tiga macam concept image berada pada level relational. Abstract- Objectivities of this study is to determine mathematician’s, teacher’s, and students’ concept images, the causes of concept image that student owned, and the differences between mathematician’s, teacher’s, and students’ concept images. This study use qualitative method with hermeneutic phenomenology approaching, this study was carried out by giving equations and linear inequality of one variable test, giving equations and linear inequality of one variable topic, and interview the teacher and some student. Furthermore, the students’ concept image will be compared with teacher’s and mathematician’s concept image. The subjects of this study is Madrasah Tsanawiyah students who have studied the topic of equality and linear inequality of one variable. The results of the study is that there were significant differences between the mathematician’s concept image and teacher’s concept image, the difference between teacher’s concept image and students’ concept image have a big gap, and also the mathematician’s concept image and students’ concept image have big distinct. In addition, there are four important things that need to be understood by someone on the material equation and linear inequality of one variable according to mathematicians and 16 kinds of concept images of students on the topic of equality and linear inequalities of one variable with details of eight kinds of concept images of students at the instrumental level, eight of it are at the incipient level, and there is no one of concept images are at the relational level.
