Abstract

ABSTRAK IPS merupakan pelajaran yang memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang didalamnya mencakup pelajaran mengenai ilmu sejarah, ekonomi dan geografi. Tetapi berdasarkan hasil observasi hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa kelas IV SDN Suci pada mata pelajaran IPS materi keberagaman sosial dan budaya di Indonesia mendapat rata-rata hasil akhir 64 dengan KKM 70. Hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada tanggal 11 februari 2020 didapat bahwa materi yang sulit dipahami siswa, tentang keberagaman sosial budaya di indonesia. Dengan waktu pembelajaran yang terbatas, terkadang guru tidak bisa menyampaikan keseluruhan isi dari materi. Untuk itu perlu adanya perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran dengan cara pemilihan model atau media yang tepat dan sesuai agar pembelajaran dapat menyenangkan salah satunya dengan menggunakan model numbered head together (NHT). Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model spiral Kemmis & McTaggarat yang memiliki empat tahap yakni; perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi/pengamatan dan refleksi yang dilaksanakan dalam satu siklus. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan penerapan model numbered head together (NHT) pada pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Suci tentang keberagaman social budaya di Indonesia. Dapat dilihat dari hasil peningkatan hasil belajar, rata-rata pada pra siklus belajar sebesar 64, meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 76,5. Pada kegiatan proses belajar, aktivitas siswa menunjukan peningkatan,Pada tahap pra siklus nilai rata-rata rata-rata 1,75, meningkat pada siklus I nilai rata-rata sebesar 2,68. The method used in this research is classroom action research with the Kemmis & McTaggarat spiral model which has four stages, namely; planning, implementing, observing / observing and reflecting carried out in one cycle. The results of the study show that the application of the numbered head together (NHT) model in social studies learning can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN Suci about socio-cultural diversity in Indonesia. It can be seen from the results of the increase in learning outcomes, the average in the pre learning cycle was 64, increasing in the first cycle to 76.5. In the learning process activities, student activities showed an increase. In the pre-cycle stage the average value was 1.75, increasing in the first cycle the average value was 2.68.
