Abstract

Penggunaan gadget kini banyak diminati termasuk anak usia sekolah dasar. Adanya gadget akan cukup menyita banyak waktu sehingga mengganggu aktivitas belajar anak di rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dampak dari penggunaan gadget terhadap minat belajar anak usia sekolah dasar di RT 02 Desa Karangmekar, faktor penyebab dan cara membagkitkan minat anak dalam belajar disamping bermain gadget. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus dengan observasi parsipatif. Tehnik mengumpulkan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian diketahui dampak yang diberikan adalah membuat minat belajar anak berkurang, anak menjadi malas belajar dan menurunkan konsentrasi belajar karena hanya digunakan sebagai sarana hiburan. Peyebabnya dikarenakan kurangnya orangtua dalam mengontrol dan membatasi penggunaan gadget, suasana belajar rumah yang tidak nyaman serta ajakan dari teman. Cara dalam megatasinya dengan senantiasa mendampingi anak belajar, memanfaatkan sebaik mungkin pembelajaran online, membuat suasana belajar yang nyaman, membuat jadwal dan aturan yang tegas, serta berkonsultasi dengan guru. Kata kunci: dampak penggunaan gadget dan minat belajar di rumah The use of gadgets is now in great demand, including elementary school aged children. The existence of gadgets will take up a lot of time so that it interferes with children's learning activities at home. This study aims to determine the impact of the use of gadgets on the interest in learning of elementary school aged children in RT 02 Karangmekar Village, the causes and ways to generate children's interest in learning besides playing gadgets. This type of research is a case study research with participative observation. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. The research results show that the impact given is to reduce children's interest in learning, children become lazy to learn and reduce learning concentration because it is only used as a means of entertainment. The reason is due to the lack of parents in controlling and limiting the use of gadgets, an uncomfortable home study atmosphere and invitations from friends. The way to overcome this is by always accompanying children to learn, making the best possible use of online learning, creating a comfortable learning atmosphere, making schedules and firm rules, and consulting with the teacher.
