Abstract

PENGGUNAAN ROLE PLAYING UNTUK PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA DI KELAS 4 SDN SERANG 3 Wita Rahmawati Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Kampus Serang Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak kemampuan berbicara siswa dengan menggunakan metode role playing. Tulisan yang dilatarbelakangi ditemukannya adanya masalah kesulitan dalam kemampuan berbicara, saat melakukan observasi di SDN serang 3 di kelas 4 nyatanya masih bada beberapa siswa yang malu bertanya atau memberikan jawaban/kesulitan berbicara sehingga siswa tersebut mengalami kesulitan dalam belajarnya. Metode yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis, yaitu studi literatur. Namun dalam pengambilan data peneliti mendapatkan kendala karena adanya Covid-19 yang menyebabkan diterapkannya Social dan Physical Distancing, sehingga dalam pemaparan hasil dan pembahasan peneliti menggunakan data sekunder berupa analisis terhadap beberapa data kepustakaan. Hasil yang di peroleh yaitu dengan menunjukan nya dampak positif dari keterampilan berbicara siswa jika menggunakan metode role playing Metode role playing di harapkan bisa berperan penting dalam mewujudkan salah satu tujuan pendidikan yaitu keterampilan berbicara. Selain itu, metode ini pada proses pembelajaran berlangsung mampu siswa aktif dalam belajar, membuat siswa memiliki rasa tanggung jawab umtuk membantu,memiliki rasa kepercayaan diri lebih dan tentunya meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam kelas. Keterampilan berbicara merupakan keterampilan yang perlu diajarkan dengan melakukan praktik langsung sehingga siswa benar-benar bisa mengasah alat ucapnya agar dapat menyampaikan ejaan yang baik dan benar. Pada proses ini dibantu oleh metode role playing yang mana lebih mengaktifkan siswa dalam belajar, membuat siswa memiliki rasa tanggung jawab untuk membantu, memiliki rasa kepercayaan diri lebih dan tentunya meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa didalam kelas Kata kunci: keterampilan berbicara, metode, role playing, THE USE OF ROLE PLAYING TO IMPROVE SPEAKING SKILLS IN CLASS 4 SDN SERANG 3 Wita Rahmawati Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Serang Campus Indonesian education university This study aims to see the impact of student speaking using role playing methods. Writing on the background of finding problems in speaking difficulties, when making observations at SDN Serang 3 in grade 4, in fact there are still some students who are embarrassed to ask questions or provide answers / difficulty speaking so that these students experience difficulties in learning. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method, namely literature study. However, in data collection that is not safe due to the existence of Covid-19, the application of social and physical distance, so that in the presentation of the results and discussion, the researchers used secondary data in the form of analysis of some library data. The results obtained are showing the positive impact of students' speaking skills when using the role playing method. The role playing method is expected to play an important role in realizing one of the educational goals, namely speaking skills. In addition, this method in the learning process is able to help students be active in learning, make students have a sense of responsibility to help, have more self-confidence and of course improve students' speaking skills in class. Speaking skills are skills that need to be taught by doing hands-on practice so that students can really hone their speech tools so that they can convey good and correct spelling. This process is assisted by the role-playing method which allows students to learn more, makes students feel responsible to help, has more self-confidence and of course improves students' speaking skills in the classroom.
