Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari aktivitas E-CDCCText dalam memfasilitasi siswa mencapai perubahan konsepsi tipe konstruksi dan rekonstruksi konsepsi. Aktivitas E-CDCCText merupakan suatu aktivitas dengan teks yang berfokus pada konstruksi dan rekonstruksi konsepsi yang di rancang berdasarkan penggabungan dua pendekatan yaitu antara pendekatan Conceptual Development dan pendekatan Conceptual Change. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mixed method, dengan desain penelitian exploratory sequential mixed method design. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 64 siswa kelas X (29 laki-laki dan 35 perempuan) dengan rentang usia 15-16 tahun di salah satu SMA Negeri Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik dalam format four-tier test pada materi fluida statis yang meliputi konsep tekanan hidrostatis, konsep gaya apung, dan konsep terapung, melayang, dan tenggelam. Sedangkan, instrumen non tes yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi aktivitas E-CDCCText dan lembar skala sikap siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas E-CDCCText dapat untuk konstruksi dan rekonstruksi konsepsi siswa dan mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif dari siswa. Aktivitas E-CDCCText memiliki efektivitas yang tinggi dan tidak terdeteksi adanya bias gender terhadap siswa laki-laki maupun siswa perempuan dalam mencapai perubahan konsepsi tipe konstruksi dan rekonstruksi siswa. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas E-CDCCText efektif digunakan untuk konstruksi dan rekonstruksi konsepsi siswa. E-CDCCText activity is an activity with a text that focuses on the construction and reconstruction of a conception that is designed based on the merging of two approaches, namely between the Conceptual Development approach and the Conceptual Change approach. The research method used in this research is a mixed-method, with exploratory sequential mixed method design. This study was conducted on 64 grade X students (29 men and 35 women) with an age range of 15-16 years in one of Bandung City High Schools. The instrument used is a diagnostic test in a four-tier test format on static fluid material, which includes hydrostatic pressure concept, buoyancy force concept, and floating and sinking concept. Meanwhile, the non-test instruments used were the E-CDCCText activity validation sheet and the students' attitude scale sheet. The results showed that E-CDCCText activity can be for constructing and reconstructing students' conceptions and getting positive responses from students. The E-CDCCText activities have high complexity and are not biased towards gender bias towards male and female students in conception change. Therefore, it can be concluded that E-CDCCText activity is effectively used to construct and reconstruct conceptions.
