Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pengambilan keputusan siswa dalam mereduksi sampah plastik melalui penerapan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Quasy Experimental Research dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas X yang dipilih menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel Cluster Sampling. Kelas perlakuan melakukan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan STEM untuk menganalisis kemampuan pengambilan keputusan siswa dalam mereduksi sampah plastik untuk kelas kontrol tidak menggunakan penerapan pembelajaran STEM untuk menganalisis kemampuan pengambilan keputusan siswa dalam mereduksi sampah plastik. Pembelajaran berbasis STEM adalah pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Pada pembelajaran berbasis STEM siswa dituntut untuk menyelesaikan masalah dengan menggabungkan Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Penerapan STEM pada penelitian membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan dalam mereduksi sampah plastik melalui pembuatan ecobrick. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes uraian tertulis, dan angket. This study aims to develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to improve student's decision making skills to reduce plastic waste. This research was conducted using the Quasy Experimental Research and Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design methods. The study sample consisted of 2 classes of X selected using Cluster Sampling techniques. The treatment class conducted learning by applying STEM to analyze students 'decision making skills in reducing plastic waste while the control class does not use STEM learning to analyze students' decision making skills in reducing plastic waste. STEM-based learning is learning that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. In STEM based learning students are required to solve problems by solving Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The application of STEM in this research helps students to improve their achievement to reducing plastic waste through ecobrick manufacturing. The instrument used was an essay question test, and student response questionnaire.
