Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji permasalahan strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter. Penelitian bertujuan untuk: a) mengetahui dan mendapatkan informasi tentang sosialisasi, pengembangan kapasitas, implementasi dan kerja sama, serta monitoring & evaluasi penerapan pendidikan karakter religius, disiplin, peduli sosial, dan peduli lingkungan, b) mengetahui dan mendapatkan informasi tentang faktor pendorong dan penghambat kepala sekolah dalam penerapan pendidikan karakter. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Jumlah partisipan sebanyak 4 orang yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, dan 2 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah a) melakukan sosialisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui rapat, obrolan ringan, dan ceramah kepada anak-anak, b) mengadakan pelatihan guru c) bekerja sama dengan semua personil guru dan staff, yayasan, komite sekolah, perwakilan orang tua siswa, warga sekitar, Pengendali Zakat Umat (PZU), dan Komite Nasional Untuk Rakyat Palestina (KNRP), d) melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi oleh kepala sekolah dan guru. Faktor pendorong kepala sekolah yaitu kerja sama, komitmen, motivasi, dukungan dan lingkungan/iklim yang kondusif, aman, serta tentram. Sedangkan faktor penghambat yaitu waktu, kurangnya kerja sama, lingkungan tidak baik, sarana dan prasarana. Kata Kunci: Strategi Kepala Sekolah, Implementasi, Pendidikan Karakter This study examines the problem of the principal's strategy in implementing character education. Research aims to: a) Knowing and getting information about socialization, capacity building, implementation and cooperation, as well as monitoring & evaluating the implementation of religious character education, discipline, social care, and , b) knowing and getting information about factors and inhibitors of the principal in the implementation of character education. The method used in this research is descriptive method through qualitative approach. The number of participants as many as 4 people are principal, teachers, and 2 students. Data collection techniques are conducted with interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that the principal a) socialized character values through meetings, small talk, and lectures to children, b) held teacher training c) cooperated with all teacher and staff personnel , foundations, school committees, parents' representatives, local residents, Zakat Umat Controllers (PZU), and the National Committee for the Palestinian People (KNRP), d) monitoring and evaluation by principals and teachers. Factors for principals are cooperation, commitment, motivation, support and a conducive, safe and peaceful environment / climate. While the inhibiting factors are time, lack of cooperation, bad environment, facilities and infrastructure. Keywords: Principal Strategy, Implementation, Character Education
