Abstract
Mutu lulusan sekolah tidak lepas dari proses pendidikan yang inovatif dan berjalan sesuai dengan strategi dari seorang kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin. Kepala sekolah bertanggung jawab dalam pencapaian mutu lulusan melalui penerapan inovasi dan strategi yang diterapkan. Hasil studi pendahuluan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini bertolak dari capaian mutu lulusan sekolah SMA dan SMK di Kota Bandung yang dalam pencapaiannya mengalami kenaikan secara signifikan dari tahun 2016 sampai 2018. Atas dasar tersebut, melalui metode design based research (DBR), peneliti mencoba mengkaji dan merumuskan model strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam mewujudkan inovasi layanan akademik pada Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah di SMA Negeri dan SMK Negeri Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di empat sekolah, yakni SMAN 8, SMAN 22, SMKN 1 dan SMKN 11 Kota Bandung dengan menjadikan kepala sekolah beserta wakil kepala sekolah sebagai sumber data penelitian. Hasil penelitian diperoleh: (1) inovasi layanan akademik di sekolah dikembangkan berdasarkan core value dan core business masing-masing sekolah. Inovasi layanan akademik diwujudkan dalam bentuk edupreneur/smart school, techno park, teaching factory, pembelajaran sistem block, pojok baca/sudut baca sebagai gerakan literasi sekolah (GLS), unit produksi, lembaga sertifikasi profesi (LSP P1), pembelajaran digital (digital learning), serta pengembangan minat & bakat; (2) Strategi manajerial yang diterapkan kepala sekolah di antaranya: aligment structure, create new leaders, change climate and culture, management-based result, talent mapping, school partnership dan cost sharing. (3) strategi yang digunakan kepala sekolah diantarannya strategi: controlling communication; equalitarian communication; structuring communication, dynamic communiation, dan relinguishing communiation. (4) Strategi monev yang digunakan adalah: direct and indirect monev; transparansi-akuntabilitas- kontinuitas, serta pelibatan mitra. Kata kunci : mutu lulusan, inovasi layanan akademik, strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, manajemen berbasis sekolah ABSTRACT SCHOOL LEADERSHIP STRATEGY IN INNOVATION OF ACADEMIC SERVICE IN SCHOOL BASED MANAGEMENT (Case Study in Senior High Schools and Vocational Schools in Bandung) By: Firman Adam The quality of school graduates cannot be separated from the innovative educational process and runs according to the strategy of a school principal as a leader. The principal is responsible for achieving the quality of graduates through the application of innovations and strategies that are applied. The results of the preliminary study that underlie this study are striking from the achievements of the quality of high school and vocational school graduates in the city of Bandung, whose achievements have significantly increased from 2016 to 2018. On this basis, through design-based research (DBR) methods, researchers try to assess and formulate Headmaster's leadership strategy model in realizing innovation in educational services in School Based Management in State High Schools and State Vocational Schools in Bandung. This research was conducted in four schools, namely SMAN 8, SMAN 22, SMKN 1 and SMKN 11 Bandung by making the principal and the principal of the school as a source of research data. The results were obtained: (1) innovation in academic services in schools was developed based on the core values and core business of each school. Academic service innovation is realized in the form of edupreneur / smart school, techno park, teaching factory, block system learning, reading corner / reading angle as school literacy movement (GLS), production units, professional certification bodies (LSP P1), digital learning (digital learning ), as well as the development of interests & talents; (2) Managerial strategies implemented by school principals include: alignment structure, create new leaders, climate change and culture, management-based results, talent mapping, school partnerships and cost sharing. (3) the strategies used by school principals include: controlling communication; equalitarian communication; structuring communication, dynamic communication, and relinquishing communication. (4) Monitoring and evaluation strategies used are: direct and indirect monitoring and evaluation; transparency-accountability-continuity, and involvement of partners.
