Abstract

ABSTRACK DENDI MUHAMMAD AGUSTIANA (2020) "Strengthening Character Education Through Post-Extracurricular Extracurricular Activities To Grow Love Characters in the Motherland" (Case Study at SMPN 40 Bandung) One of the problems facing the nation of Indonesia today is the waning spirit of nationalism and patriotism among the younger generation and causing greater interest in foreign culture compared to Indonesian culture. In the formation of character education character as one of the keys. Extracurricular activities are one component of the development of students' potentials under the guidance and supervision of education units which are carried out in a structured manner and have a program implemented outside the subjects in schools that has the aim to develop each potential, interest and talent possessed by each student. Values developed in postkibra extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 40 Bandung include increasing nationalism, love for the motherland, responsibility, discipline, solidarity and religion.
